Tired from a long, rainy drive but a great payoff at the Narrows. Maybe one of the most laid-back, patron-friendly venues ever and they allow BYO anything. The space is a big, open floor in an old mill building, part art gallery with plenty of comfortable chairs and tables, great sound and a true 'listening room' experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the opener Cris Jacobs--bluesy with a little funk thrown in by bassist Todd Herrington who was really impressive. Also had the fine company of concert warriors Mr. & Mrs. Tous while getting down with Yarn!
earlbny, in answer to your question, no never. Seriously, there is not one. While we all have our favorites Yarn is probably the only band that every time I listen to one of their CD's (which is A LOT) I never skip a song. They are all that good. I know I am preaching to the choir here, but I believe I am stating the obvious. I am sure we will be hearing a lot more of Sioux City Gypsy, it blew me away after hearing it for the first time at the Towne Crier last week. They just keep on coming.
