I'll have to ask my main man Dan Schram, but I'm pretty sure he is running audio and video now.

Blake does it again. I think Blake is as good of a singer/songwriter as anyone. Right now if you put a gun to my head I am taking Blake over Ryan Adams. He's a prolific genius. How come Blake/Yarn is not a household name? Nobody is more deserving. Yarn vs Blake solo is like night and day. The solo stuff let's you really analyze the songs. Thanks everyone for your hard work and bringing me this great show. You all rock.

This show was put together when the folks at Casbah asked Dan if he knew how to get in touch with Blake. So Dan asked me. So I asked Blake and passed his contact info along. We tapers are good for something besides pressing record :)

I hated to miss it, but I was in Memphis taping a show.

Back in June '09 a buddy and I went to the same venue in Memphis for a show and decided to go back to Nashville rather than following the band to Jackson, MS. I wanted to tape something that night so we went and scoped out the venue for the following evening's show. The guy who Blake opened for at Casbah, Cory Branan, was playing. I asked him if it was cool to roll tape and he said sure. He was pretty vulgar and at one point said something about "punching a bitch in the c**t". Then he says, 'Oh shit, I forgot there's a guy back there with microphones. This is going to be on the internet and my mother will probably hear it. Sorry, mom." I need to dig that show up and post it so Cory's mother can hear it.

Back in 09 Yarn did a cover of Slip Slidin' Away. Like always they killed it. For someone that claims they don’t know the song they sure do a good job of hiding it. You can listen to the cover at the following link.
