Welcome, Guest

  1.
So, I posted a Yarn thread (pun intended) on www.Philzone.org , and was pleased to see several people picked up on my suggestion to get out & see the boyz in San Francisco, Arcata & Strawberry Fest. Check it out! : http://www.philzone.org/discus/messages/439459/772757.html?1338074032

One dude thought so highly of the band, he high-tailed it from Eugene, OR to Lake Tahoe, NV to see them again!

The West Coast is Ripe for a YARN-vasion !!!

    Yee-Diggies!!!

    Wow, terrific stuff DJ!

That is awesome - way to do some promoting, DJ! I love reading things like, "sold out show" and "budding Yarniac"! And you were very kind to direct people to the archives - Yarn methadone for use between shows! :)

I'm the "budding Yarniac" who posted on the PhilZone the other day... then I came right over to this discussion board and registered!

Was wondering if the band maintains an e-mail list to notify fans of their tour schedule. If so, I'd like to be added. I know it'll probably be a while before Yarn makes it back to NorCal, but next time they stitch together a Left Coast tour I'd like to know well in advance!

Safe travels to the band & crew & fans as you weave your way back home. (OK, I'll stop with the puns now) ;-)

Welcome to 5Gs, garyfish! No worries - we're all strung out on Yarn anyway ;)

There's a few ways to keep tabs on the tour schedule... There's a link on the Yarn website to join the mailing list or you can like them on Facebook. Blake usually posts when new dates are added to the schedule. They were out west in November last year, so maybe that'll be the same for this year??? And they tour most of the year, so it won't be long before they're back!

At any rate, welcome again - and congrats on your new Yarn habit!

Welcome garyfish. There's also the Tour link at yarnmusic:

Yarn hit the Northeast hard the past couple of years but being the pop-oriented losers we are up here, it looks like Yarn's done trying so sadly we don't get nearly the number of shows that we used to. Thanks goodness for their wonderful taping policy~

Poke around and check out some shows. There's an archive.org link in just about every venure thread. May I suggest checking out Manchester 9/11/09 if you haven't yet.....then Albany 11/17/11.....etc.

    Welcome garyfish!
So happy that you took DJ's suggestion and are now coming back for more. Along with the mailing list, and facebook, you can contact Shane Spaulding at shaneaspaulding@hotmail.com to join the "Yarmy" He can then send you posters and stuff, so when they do come back into your area you can spread the word. Shane is pretty on top of getting an email out when they are coming to your area to find people to sell merch and poster the town. Glad you made your way onto this site, glad to have you.

Here was my attempt at Yarn promotion. Probably not as successful as DJ EW, but I tried....twice.
