Since I'm off for the week and tangled has missed the last couple of shows, we're gonna head out for this one and make an overnight trip of it. Would like to stay out that way for Oswego on Saturday but it's too hard to get away two nights in a row these days.
Already contacted the theater about taping and it should be a go~
For what other band would ya travel 3+ hours for a 1:20 show and feel like you'd do it again! Fucking Yarn.
The Cabinet guys did a full set and Yarn had to vacate for some &^%^$$#@#$ disco party so it was short but really sweet. The sound was fantastic and I ran mics plus pulled from the board so yeah canned....prolly a matrix for this one although haven't been through both recordings. It will fit on exactly one CD so might be a terrific set for Yarn bombing. The Cabinet Banjo and violin players joined for the Dear Mama and the MOO closer.
....then headed over to the Crown Plaza bar for drinks with the guys.
Lies I've Told That's Just Fine Down On Your Luck Dirt Road Can't Slow Down Turn The Light Off Abilene Dear Mama I'm So Sorry Music's Only Outlaw>Walk On The Wild Side>Outlaw
This board recording sounds fantastic and my aud crunched in a few places so I'm just gonna mail out the sbd to tous early this week. If I get any precious time in the school studio it will be to finish the Jim Thorpe DVD.
So I recorded everything at 16/96 this time and i think I'm happier with the result.....hard to say just yet but it sounds better than that last one at 24/48. Still learning this stuff.
So the venue was fucking empty....again. A Friday night in a city as big as Syracuse....I don't get it but they played their usual best. tangled appreciated not getting trampled so that was good. Very cool place and the staff were all fantastic.
Good stuff Reckless. I love that they are still our little hidden gem however I wish they become a household name already.they always give you 110% and play like its there last show. The final bow.
....I'm still running shows into a standalone....I know I know, I'll catch up soon but what it means is that I needed to re-run this show. For some reason I thought it wouldn't fit on a CD so I cut the intro for the Cabinet guys to save space.....then it turned out that there was plenty of room so I re-matered it and I'll try to mail it to tous on Monday.
It's a sndbd so it's a little sterile but all the instruments and vocals are present and well balanced. The Cabinet guys join in on the last two songs.
