Forget Webcasts.... this sweet little venue is definitely worth a road trip.... read that it was built as a silent movie house, it's a narrow theatre that has an orchestra pit just made for dancing... the seats are elevated above that so you are at stage level in the first row and people sitting can see over all the dancers in the pit.... couldn't ask for a nicer set-up.
If you are under 3 hours away, I suggest cutting out of work early, tanking the car up heading to the Garden State.
Thanks for the info... I'll be sharing it.
Love easy ways to evangelize the gospel of Yarn

Totally agree Stoney great place to see a show. Please don't forget to mention The post Time Inn across the street from the venue-excellent place for a few drinks or a bite to eat-the boys have enjoyed a few pops after the last couple shows
there. If anyone may be thinking of staying overnight there is unique affordable lodging just up the road a mile or two-Mohican Outdoor Center. Its run by the Appalachian Mtn Club-more info on their website. The theater website lists it as "Marks big birthday bash".I assume this is Mark Cliffords bday-part owner and bango player extraordanair-see Bruce Springsteen Tom Joad tour/album-so hoping for a sit in or two.In short i'm siked for this show!By the way DJ EASY WIND if your reading this and you see Frank or Heather at the riverside talk to them about hooking up before show-I was also trying to get T Mckenna to attend but don't believe he's going to make it.

Stoney is 100% correct! If your in striking distance, it's better to be there Live!!! It is a wonderful venue too! The webcast is for the benefit of those West Coast or South Atlantic Yarniacs who can't make the trip...

also, did Y'all know about this one? : http://www.thehobostage.com/

Meadowmutt, Frank & Heather will be there Friday, dunno their pre-game plans yet. I also told them about The Hobo Stage...right on Lake Hopactcong! Sa-weet!

    oh #@$%!
I may have to settle for the webcast after all.
Mysterious forces are potentially messing up my music schedule.
    so disappointed :(
And as much as we need rain, why is it thinking of arriving on Saturday? It's so dry here, I can't complain, but... couldn't it wait another day?
I don't think I'll be making it to the Hobo stage now either. Sucks. Just talked to a friend who plans on taping though... let's hope he makes it.
oh well... the best laid plans of mice and men....
  5.
Bummer you've gotta miss the shows this weekend, Stoney! I'm stuck watching the webcast too... :)

If anyone goes to the show tonight can they maybe do me a favor and pick me up some stickers. I am such a putz. I noticed the Yarn License Plate stickers that were for sale at the Hiro show. I did not think of it till I was already home but the Mexican restaurant I work at on the weekends has tons of License Plates as decorations. They also have some Grateful Dead stickers on the front door. I can put the stickers on the door and give the band some free promo. Ill pay for them. Just let me know if anyone can hook me up.
  6.
License plate stickers?! I like it! Does the sticker have a specific state?

Obviously can't get them tonight, earlbny, but if you don't get any before next weekend, let me know - I'll be at the 4/6 show in Greensboro...

After the show was over I looked at my clock and it was after midnight. The could have played all night long. How do they do it night after night? The band was on fire as usual. Rod and Bobby were so funny during the interview.

Hear to report that although the strange situation I was in took a turn for the worse.. It actually made it so I was able to attend this little shin-dig.
The boys were all so happy knowing that they had an actual SATURDAY off. The Hobo stage is postponed to Sunday (that rain that we need so much) so that means even Blake. They were all smiles. It was nice to see so many familiar faces and a lot of new younger ones as well in the crowd. I didn't hang out to talk and I hit the car at 12:30, made for a late night, got home around 2, but even though there is no quick way to get to this place, the ride is really nice. I know from these posts it sounds like I'm affiliated with this venue, I'm not. It's just so sweet I want to see it thrive. I know the Yarn guys feel that way too, not only from what Blake said on stage but from comments off stage as well.
It was quite a festive birthday party!
Earlbny...I didn't see your post prior to leaving, but luck would have it Ricky handed me a pile of those stickers... whisper your address and I will get them out to you.

    Thanks Pete and Tous.
If you listen, during "Happy Birthday" picture a bunch of people bringing a cake out...
I do believe there were 60 candles on this thing and it took awhile for Mark to blow out the candles... I bet the kid holding the cake was really sweating! This was a really fun show, very upbeat and just what the doctor ordered for me. Found these on youtube last night: there are is also stuff out from Blake's appearance at the Hobo stage if you search it.

I really enjoyed the webcast last Friday. Thanks to those responsible. Not quite as good as being there, though, of course. I thought about going to the show. I live in south jersey. I went to the Yarn show there last June, great place. BUT, it is ...well, unless you have a private pilots license and a plane, in the words of Ulysses Everett Mc Gill, "ain't this place a geograhical oddity, two weeks from everywhere". I know the band has to adjust to a late schedule given that they probably were playing at 2:00 AM on Thursday night/Friday morning and drove the big white van all night, but an earlier show, say 7:30 would make sense at a remote location, particularly on a Friday night. I wanted to blame the webcast (an alternate option) for not going to the show but really it was the drive on route 206, on a Friday evening after work.

Ahhhh, Route 206 to 94... I grew up on a street that linked the two. 206 on Friday isn't much fun, bute either is route 3 to the Lincoln Tunnel eh hopped and brouche.

Thanks, Pete! Great save on the third encore when the boys went unplugged! The DJ on the webcast was also caught off guard but he made the save too!
