I know, I know, it's early....I'm just stoked. Too bad it's a Thursday but it'll test whether the packed house last time was a fluke of if it's the new Manchester norm~
Trying to decide if I'll run the DAT as a back-up or just trust my new recorder. It's another 12 bucks in batteries to run DAT plus, I know that our new taper James is planning on taping. I'll prolly just take a leap of faith and run the DR-08.

....once again, tous and I shared one of those how-do-they-do-it? grins at the end of this one. Splendid setlist all around and stellar playing of course. Rod said that he was told they had some new sound equipment at the Tiger...said it was rough on stage last show. Things did seem a lot clearer and less harsh and the recording sounds really terrific. First time running the DR-08 and things looked kind of hot at soundcheck so I dropped the cut a notch so that may have affected the sound. In any case, it's a real gem. James was also there for his third show so I'm sure he'll put up his source before too long. I'll do mine in the usual snail-to-tous fashion.
The place wasn't packed like last time but it was full and those who were there were mostly there for Yarn. The Take Me First closer was a perfect ending....I could sing that one to tangled~
Might possibly make Syracuse in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the review, RC! Fantastic setlist! I've been hoping to see I've Seen The Difference make it's way on there and very, very happy to see Don't Worry 'Bout Me and Let Me In back in rotation! Looking forward to listening - thanks as always, you guys!
..and a very cool slowed-down version of "Can't Slow Down" for the soundcheck. Hopefully one of you recorded that!
Even with all the regulars there, they still sold. Bit of merch so that's a good thing. If they had a t-shirt that had the Yarn logo on the front and "Takes me to a happy place" on the back, I bet they'd sell a few!
Hey gang, this was my third Yarn show and my first check-in here, glad to be aboard! John, it was great running with you again and hanging out. Tous--glad to meet you and nice to see the crowd digging the band so much, I hope the Tiger continues to be a routine stop for these guys. Here is my recording, enjoy!:
Yes James, def a pleasure to hang with you and welcome to 5G Yarn. I asked my wife yesterday, ever heard of Bridgewater Chocolates? Her eyes lit up...."Bridgewater chocolates? Marci always gifts me chocolate from there!" So you have a new fan.
Thanks for posting your show so quick and we'll see you certainly at the next Tiger show if not before. Not sure why your link doesn't work but here it is:
Nah, I had it but then dumped it.....rather lackluster and the sound check talk throughout made it pretty erasable. I'll have to listen to cd2go's recording before I bother with mine. Something about mine falls a little short of expectations. Whether it was my capture rate, my pre-amp settings or the venue sound, it's not my best. If James' sounds good, I'll prolly skip posting mine....we'll see.
