Decided to fit in one last house concert for the year. 12/23/11 Blake will spend an evening with us in Greensboro. If you can show up late for your Christmas Eve responsibilities, come hang out with us!
We never have fun at these things. We've never had a repeat customer. Always have to recruit a brand new batch of suckers for each show. The acoustics are terrible. The audience is rude. The food is disgusting. The musicians play lackluster, uninspired sets and use timers that make sure they don't go over their contractually obligated time (several have stopped mid-song).
That would be awesome! Without grandparents in town, the chance of us getting a sitter is not looking pretty slim at this point, but I'd love to listen in!
Probably no stream as I've been having issues with ustream. And people may be inclined to stay home if they know they can hear the show on the interwebs. But mostly because the interface sucks at ustream and I don't have time to research an alternative.
Sorry to hear it's a no-go; I've had trouble as a user, so I wasn't too optimistic about being able to actually hear it. Thanks again for the invite though - streaming or not, we'll all be there in spirit!
Ditto what Amy said - it's difficult for me to listen to the stream with the time difference here anyway. Gee maybe there will be a taper present :P Enjoy!
Also I took some vids and I think most of the show was videoed I will post links when I upload them. Thanks Blake for time burns on bars don't look too friendly friend of the devil ripple. Sweet Caroline and some carpenters song.
I took a few videos, I am sure there will be better coming from this night. This is the first one, I won't have time to put up anymore today. Thanks Blake for answering my request.
This one may be under the the old archive tree tomorrow, folks. It sounds pretty amazing if I do say so myself. I loved the originals and the covers. I'll try to post a set list this afternoon. Dan usually gets his videos up quick, but is in Greensboro to visit family for christmas, so it may be a few days. Check out his youtube channel dschram1. He runs video at many OKOM shows in the Triangle area.

Apologies on the audio. Was busy with family stuff saturday and Sunday. Woke up feeling like crap on Monday, but had agreed to help one of our field crews install, so I worked all day. I've been flat on my back since. Don't know what I've got but it needs to be gone by tomorrow or I won't be making the NYE run.
Thanks for the well wishes. I am back at work, but only because I am way behind and I might as well be miserable here at my desk. Dan's videos used my audio source so that should give you an idea of how it sounds.
Silver lining: With no beer, soda, or solid food, I've lost a few pounds in the last three days.
First post here. Yeah video is up is with Dale's audio synced up. The audio is definietly better than the video quality. At some point a dvd will get put together of the show and i'll give to Dale to circulate to whoever. If anyone has any song posting requests let me know.
I don't think you'll find many objections to posting a first-time-played around here. I think that one was actually devoid of drunken audience commentary. In which case, post away.
How About A Couple More was FTP as well, I believe.
Unfortunately, when good music and good beer is involved, you'll have talking. Those talkers helped us put cash in Blake's pocket just the same as the mutes.
