How's everyone doing out there? Things have been slow on the board lately and I miss my Yarn people!
Ricky B posted on Facebook that they're back in the studio this week! I'm waiting impatiently on a new CD - Leftovers just didn't cut it for me ... maybe I didn't give it a fair shake b/c there's just so much great new material! Be well everyone
Ya I saw on Face Book that they were back in the studio. And don't you know some RUDE individual had the nerve to post on the Yarn wall, and I quote " I hope you didn't bring that crappy mandolin player with you". The nerve.
That was definitely a funny one Tous. I think Andrew would approve. And I can vouch for Andrew not liking the Mandolin J.C. thing. When Reckless and I brought it up at Red Square he was definitely not into it.
aw 6Mando needs to lighten up ;) I think it's a funny nickname - but I could see Andrew not liking it - and since I respect the maestro I will not repeat it again ... I humbly seek forgiveness
I like Let's Get Dark. It's only on 9 shows on archive.org. It was played at least 8 times (not every show gets taped :[ ) between 12/29/09 (my first show) and 03/26/10 with an anomalous play at RC's birthday show on 10/22/10. I'm a geek.
I know the kickstarter thing just wrapped up, but has anyone heard anything lately about the possibility of the live album? I love the collection I made for my friend last month - I titled it "The Yarn Show" :) and if I had any artistic talent, I would have made a cover with a tricked-out van coming out of a ball of yarn, trippin' down a psychedelic highway...
Just out of curiousty, could taper recordings be used for it? Given how many shows are so well recorded by you guys, it would seem that they could be used??? I'm sure there are things I don't understand about rights/legal/etc., but could this be a way to get an album done on the cheap? "The Yarn Show: Tapers' Choice Selections"!!!
