Well, our paper and our music writer, Rick Koster, gave the band a nice bit of ink. A picture on Page 1, the full cover of our weekend section, Night & Day, as well as this interview:
Got a couple couches...no problem. We won't be there till about 9:30 or so. The openers are local and meh.
Yarn's scheduled for 10. The festival runs till 11.
Wait...wut?
Yup, that's what the schedule says but we talked to a couple of the promoters and they're saying other headliners have played till 11:30 or until the cops come shut it down (noise ordinance). I gave Blake a heads-up last weekedn that they might want to have the acoustic guitars handy.
Well, a solid 90 minute or so set that certainly won some new fans. Weather in the 50's kept the crowd down but they moved some merch so that's a good thing.
Forgot to keep a setlist but from memory:
Alone on the Weekend NYC Found When The Summer Ends (with the New London drunks way off on their singing and timing!) Bad Bad Man Outlaw > For What It's Worth > Outlaw Tennessee The Dirt Road Salt Creek > Interstate It's All Over Now encore: Along The Way ("Here's a J Lo cover!")
On to Ocean Mist tonight...got a promise on "Let Us Pray"...
Sorry I couldn't make it tous...did a 15hr day on Thursday and just couldn't rally.
Talked to my friend Brian who joined us at the Mist the last time and he was heading down with a bunch of friends....of course, by the time you read this you will know that....duh ;) Hope it was a blast~
Starting another batch of Andrew-recorded goodness:
