Looks like Brouche, badlab and I are down for this one. I asked on a taper forum about the venue. The response (from someone who has taped in some real shit-holes):
"yep i taped unknown hinson there a few years ago, its as close to a "not worth taping" venue as i've seen"
Hopefully this can be overcome. It looks to be an outdoor show at a frat douche bar, just as said frat douches are returning to campus. At least we know the band will bring the heat tomorrow night.
My buddy was going to come, but he saw a picture of the place with a band playing and there was a guy with a look on his face that kind of said, "Hey, can you keep it down a bit, we are trying to talk here." Should be a fun night. I don't think the boys will be keeping it down very much.
I am glad you are hardcore hopped... this looks like the last I may get to see them until later on in the fall, so I will suck it up and make the trip. :)
Those UNC kids got schooled last night!!! The show, as you would assume, was amazing - Rod killed the Dazed & Confused solo in Abeline and Andrew was on fire the entire night! You all should have seen the crowd respond to Bobby's solo - soooo awesome! Blake made up the set list as they went along and it was brillant! Hopped was taping, so you all will hear for yourselves soon enough! The crowd was great (the frat douches didn't get there until way later in the evening ;) There was a strong fanbase turnout and our enthusiasm blended well with the kids' back-to-school excitement! :)
I don't think they'll be back around our way for a while, so I completely sucked the marrow out of this show; hope it'll sustain me until next time! We've gotten spoiled in Raleigh - I can't go more than three months without a show!!! Road trip!
Way to go Yarn. I don't know how they do it but they alwaysbring there A game and top the show before hooking new fans left and right. I can't wait to hear this show.
edit: You may hear me rewinding and listening to The Dirt Road a few times. And apparently you will hear ads on your end every so often since I don't have a paid ustream account.

Bobby Britt of Town Mountain sits in on the entire second set on fiddle. Chatty Cathy and the Chatterboxes accompany Yarn from the audience the entire show.
PA was malfunctioning during first two songs, "Empty Pockets" and "Dear Mama, I'm So Sorry" so they are not included here. This show has some gems but it is chatty.
Go see Yarn and buy their merch. Support taper-friendly bands.
This was a great set by the boys. It has a great Dirt Road and 23+ minute DBMHA and MOO. Lots of chatter but not quite so bad during the louder songs.
If you listen close you can hear "Stevie D", aka badlab on chatter and singing on-stage. He talks better than he sings. I think the loudest talking on this recording is badlab telling me he'll "shut these people up".
This was in the courtyard of a college bar. There was no good spot to set up a stand, so I put my mics on a table-top tripod and put it in the crook of a large tree left of center. The recording turned out pretty well except for the chatter, IMO.
You all have to check this one out - it's like a feature-length festival show! Chatty, yes, but tight and a TON of energy! (And I totally forgot how rowdy things got... good times!)
