They wife and I drove 5+ hours to see the band tonight. No kids so what else is there to do? Andrew was not present but the boys didn't fail to deliver. Too bad there were no tapers because they absolutely tore the place up. The room was the size of a living room and being on the second floor it was bouncing prettY good throughout the night. So here is the setlist, it was an amazing show the boys definitely made some new fans tonight.
    Setlist:

Well thanks for the setlist anyway.....they're always fun to read. I keep them these days simply because I master my DAT tape to a standalone burner. That means I need to attend the recording and place tracks on the fly. It helps a lot to know what song's coming next. Bad Bad Man and More start abruptly while an On The Road or an Annie requires less precise timing.

...and sadly I still fuck up and have to redo them sometimes. If I ever get high speed internet at home, I'll drop $$$ for a recorder and learn all the computer stuff that the hoppeds of the world use.

RC, you don't need broadband to ditch the DAT. Until recently I did all my processing on an 8YO desktop that wasn't even connected to the internet. Then I 'd transfer to a thumb drive and upload from work. I think you'll like being able to record in 24 bit and boost levels in post. And track shows out using a super simple piece of software with a nice GUI.

badlab, man you need to get some gear if you're gonna trek to far-flung shows where no tapers lurk.

Just to add a bit more... Andrew wasn't present and it was still a very rocking show. I had thought we would get a fewer slower songs, goes to show what I know. They went on around 8 and finished up around 11:30 with a set break. There was a lot of Natty Green flowing as they took over the taps. Love NC beers. Blake really impressed me with his guitar playing skills tonight he is terrific. The whole band was great. @hopped I really wish I would have had some equipment to tape it was great, maybe someday I will get into that side of it. I am thankful for you and the others who capture thematic for the rest of us.

My very first concert was Tom Petty & his Heartbreakers warming up for the J Geils Band in Bangor, ME summer of 1978!
