Props to RC for the lyrics transcription topic. That said, there's certainly some lyrics/lines I can't quite make out.

For example, in Tennessee, I always heard

    "It's a shitty little hole
    from what I've been told"

    When it's actually:

    "Cause this city didn’t hold
    What I was told"

    Wow. Not even close.

Anyway, in "Lies I've Told", there's a line that goes

    "Baby I know
    I could dress it up
    Disguise it high
with all the lies I've racked up"

    Clearly that's not it. Anybody?
  1.
    Disguise and hide
all the lies I've racked up
    otherwise I'd hurt you so
better stick to what I know

...or so I've always read it.

For months I didn't know the third line in On The Road til my son listened and said dad, it's "share all that they bring." Cripes that one got me

All I ever dreamed is for people to show up and sing
Sing the words to my songs
And share all that they bring

    (bump)

"Well I don't know about you
But I could use a drink"

Oh, I didn't mishear it. It's just a great opening line to a song. Especially good to sing after a meeting with the boss.

...but while I'm at it....the Lyrics thread shows this from "Nothing But Time to Give"

"But you picked jimmy and Johnny and roscoe"

A certain wife of mine swears it's "...Jimmy and Johnny and Rascal"

I think she owes me a drink at the next show!

I can't for the life of me catch what this single word is from Desperate Amy:

You keep dusting off his heart
He's been out tearing, yours apart
You been planning your lives together
While he’s been out looking for, something better oh
    you keep playing a fool
without a clue without even one shred of truth
    You keep dreaming a lie
I believe it’s time that somebody told you
Hold on desperate Amy, I don’t think that you are the one
Hold on desperate Amy, I don’t think that you are the one meant to save him

This ain't the first love that you've spent
Chasing around some man like you ain't got no sense
This ain't your first big let down without a doubt
    There's been too many ???????
Oh you keep playing a fool
without a clue without even one shred of truth
    You keep dreaming a lie
I believe it’s time that somebody told you
Hold on desperate Amy, I don’t think that you are the one
Hold on desperate Amy, I don’t think that you are the one meant to save him

I think I have the rest but I cannot get that word!

    Help me out:

    "I'm Almost Home" chorus

It's a hard truth to find, my friend
    It's sleepytime again?
It's a hard road to travel, amen
    and I'm Almost Home
  5.
Okay, I might be wrong, but this is what I hear:

    "Almost Home"

It's a hard truth to find, my friend
It's a steep hill to climb again
such a long road to drive, amen (or and then?)
    I'm almost home.
  6.
I hear "such" a hard hill to climb but I hear what Stoney does on the rest.

I just listened to the crystal clear 2011-04-16 house show and it's "such a steep hill climb again" so everybody is partially right. And it's likely to have changed at times as well as the song developed or as Blake forgot lyrics..
  7.
oh yeah, steep....Stoney messed me up!
  8.
Sure RC, blame the new one to the group!
I never thought to check the link that I just posted to Martin Guitar!
The first time I heard it, I thought it was it's a long, cold driving wind.... but no tapers there, so we will never know. :)

Just skimmed through the lyrics thread that badlab dug up.

I thought it was "My heaven is absinthe" in Bad Bad Man. Works both ways, though.
