Here we sit a month away from the one year mark of covid and having so much taken from us It has been even longer than that since I have seen some of you So, just checking in and wondering, how are you doing? I hope well. Like everyone one else we are ready, willing and able to be out on the road, once again Trying to be patient as well as optimistic I know things will be different , however , my optimism is hoping for September Be well & stay safe friends
Hey Bob, we're just in hang tight mode like the rest of the world. Maybe this is the year that we'll see yarn again. I get my second Moderna shot this week but wifey's not eligible yet . Our school has been in a cohort hybrid model that has been working very well. We've had some cases of covid so that's been tough but now, we're spiking the ball on the 5 yard line and opening fully with 6 weeks to go. Fingers crossed that we're not planting a tree for someone this year.
Nice to see the boys post some shows. It'l be a spell before they get north I'm sure but after tangled is fully vaccinated, we'll be waiting for the dates up here.
Good to hear from you Reckless. Glad to hear all is as well as can be expected. While I understand both sides of the story I am somewhat perplexed as to why they just don't wait until September for all, just my personal thought. There is still so much uncertainty on the Covid front. Good luck with all of that, I hope it works out just fine.
We are getting there, look forward to seeing all of our Yarn friend this year. Stay well regards to "wifey". Knock on wood we will see you sometime soon.
2nd shot in the books. YARN show set for 4/16 outdoors at a local winery. Just saw they are on the '21 Bristol Rhythm lineup. 21 is looking better already
Thanks for the update Brouche Hope you and the family are doing well Things are beginning to look better We were feeling optimistic enough to grab tickets to Alder Creek However with the current surge now taking place we are having serious second thoughts Really don't think we could go to a Yarn show and not interact with the "family" the way it should be Patience is a virtue, or so they say, and that day is coming As always looking forward to seeing everyone out on the road Slowly but surely...
Got the first Moderna on 3/5. Sore arm for a day or two but no other symptoms.
Got the second one this Friday, 4/2 11:20 a.m. Sore arm again but woke up feeling fine. At the 22Hr mark, 9:00a.m. yesterday, flu symptoms swept over me rapidly and for the next 8 hrs I was a dish rag with no energy. No fever but I couldn't get off the couch...watched the ladies at Augusta all day.
Then, beginning at 4:00p.m. like a light switch, within 20 minutes I went right back to feeling fine. Went for a motorcycle ride, took the dog for a rip in the woods and then cracked a beer!
A happy ending, so to speak Glad to hear everything worked out It is amazing how different the post shot experience is for many I had no problems, but have heard from others like yourself of a rough morning or day after We are getting there, see you soon Reckless
