So, what are some of the best & worst places you have ever seen Yarn? No explanation, of course feel free if you wish to comment.
    No particular order.

    Best

The Willow Tree Johnson City, TN
So many reasons, good friends and good people show up there.
Teri has created an awesome space.

    Avalon Theater Easton, MD
Recently refurbished, awesome and beautiful space.

    Purple Fiddle Thomas, WV
    Just a downright cool place

    Worst

    Palace Theater Stafford Springs, CT
Hands down the worst place I have ever seen a show.
Wish I could find at least one good thing to say about it, but can't.

    The Shop Brooklyn, NY
Might come in a close second

    Chameleon Club Lancaster, PA
    No vibe at all

There are others in each category, but let's start there.
    Look forward to some conversation.
Be well & stay safe friends

First of all - - great topic - - thanks.

I've seen them 15 times or so in PA, VA, SC, and FL. I'd go with the following, but I'll preface by saying I much prefer "listening rooms" versus larger venues which have people chatting up their neighbors. If anyone hasn't had a chance to see them in a small listening room, you gotta do yourself a favor and make it happen. Such great musicians, and you can really appreciate them in these places.

    Best listening room:

    Godfrey Daniels - Bethlehem, PA
Great intimate small place. Seated. Probably only holds 100 or so. And - - BYOB.

    Best non-listening room:

    Pour House - Charleston, SC
Not a listening room, but great atmosphere place - - dark, dungy, nice stage, excellent sound, only standing, bar inside where stage is, supportive crowd. Fun place and can get there early and enjoy the really nice outdoor area which also has a bar and usually local musicians playing on their small outdoor stage area.

    Worst:

New World Brewery - Tampa, FL
Was probably the fact that this may have been a "filler" date on a weeknight on their way back from Key West, and they were third to play that night, and only played an hour, and didn't start until 11pm, and only 30 people or so there, and it was a covered outdoor stage on a fricking cold night, and - - - they didn't actually brew any beer there (big negative points for false advertising with their name).

shotdoc12, thanks for participating. have to agree with you on Godfrey Daniels, it certainly is small and intimate, a good room for sure. The Pour House, definitely not a listening room but cool venue for sur of The Willow Tree is a listening room, for sure. Teri the owner reminds the customers of that on a regular basis, they respect her "code". The Towne Crier Beacon, NY is a listening room, probably twice the size of Godfreys but can still be intimate. Many a good show on Archive from the Crier. Agree with you totally that you should experience a listening room show with Yarn. Thanks again for your comments.

    Best/Favorite:
I'm only listing places where I've seen Yarn two or more times. (I've seen 92 shows in 53 towns in 35 venues in 8 states)

Brouche's living room - Greensboro NC
Willow Tree - Johnson City , TN - Great sound, great staff, most wonderful owner. Just a great vibe place.
Lincoln Theatre - Raleigh NC - Great sound, sometimes douchey crowd, though.
Rooster Walk Pine Grove Stage - Martinsville, VA
Catawba Valley Brewing - Morganton, NC - some great shows there early in my Yarn journey.

    Worst:

Old WInston Social Club - Winston-Salem, NC Bad room, mediocre sound, no crowd, chatty, prices varied drink to drink on same drink.

Thanks hoppedup. The Pine Grove Stage at Rooster Walk is certainly a special place (day or night)
The Moxi in Greeley, I think it was a cool venue and it would be awesome to experience it again, with a bunch more people.
