Hello....new member here. I wanted to let everyone out there know that I will be planning/starting to feature Yarn on deepjams.net on Sunday's. I currently do a 3 hour show on Widespread Panic called the Temple of Panic from 8-11 p.m. every Sunday night. So I am thinking that Yarn will either go on before are after on Sundays, nothing is concrete as of yet. It will be live recordings so I wanted to go ahead and thank all the tapers that have worked so hard to get their music out there. I am hoping that this will allow their music to hit the masses even more and increase their fan base (which is definitely growing). Once I get everything lined out and formatted to the station, I will update everyone here and through other forms of social media. If anyone out there has any good ideas or don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Hell yeah! Thank you Tokesome. Stuff like this helps big time. It was great hanging with you and your lady this past weekend. Maybe we can get some of our diehard fans to post their favorite shows that are up on archive, give you a little hand picking through the 500+ shows available online. Thanks everyone! Blake.
Great idea and glad you have the platform to promote Yarn.
Just took a peak at your site...do the shows get archived anywhere? I can assure you that if it is after 11pm, an archive is the only way I will ever hear it unfortunately.
There are lots of people here who can give you particular shows they like...me included.
Yes! the shows would be archived whether it comes on before of after TOP. I currently have a lot of internal tweaks to perform before going full steam, but I need to slowly get the buzz out there. The current incarnation of Yarn will be the focus since we would want everyone to be familiar with who the members are and their current sound. Once I can get them on the radar with the deepjam diehards then they will get into the station rotation during the week. As with anything now a days its the numbers that are key.
Thank you for your efforts Tokesome, it is much appreciated. Spreading the word to the masses through whatever outlet's are available is key to expanding Yarn's reach. To echo Drunken Angel's words I am sure you will find plenty of help on this page, just by asking. We look forward to helping out. Good luck and thanks again.

Tokesome, I am guessing you are on Facebook for promotion as well. I have a lot of Yarn friends there (who aren't here) and would gladly share a link.
Hmm, the First Time Played tread might be a good resource for shows
I'll put some of my more recent favorites up here as I think of them. I've been mostly listening to old (08, 09) Yarn lately, with just a smattering of newer stuff.

This show from Richmond is notable for some excellent guitar work from Rod Hohl. It is also one of the most recent times they played Can't Slow Down and an outstanding example. I know absolutely nothing about sound or recording or mixing but this recording does suffer from a periodic hum. I don't know if that is fixable or if that would disquality it from consideration.

This show is actually my favorite Yarn show that I did not personally attend. It is only available on Youtube, as far as I can tell and I don't know about the particulars of ripping the sound from there or how that would turn out or anything. This is a great show to display the psychedlic side of Yarn (Barn Bash shows are also good in that vein). There are lots and lots of guest players, so I don't know if I would use this for the first show or two, but of course playing with others is thematic for Yarn. Allie Kral of Yonder Mountain and Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth sit in for the whole show and there are lots of others who play a few songs as well.
FYI... Late night listeners had a little taste this past Sunday after the Temple of Panic on Deepjams. Thanks for the recommendations so far and we are loading the shows. Listeners will get another little taste this Sunday some before the TOP and after. I will post a heads up and brief introduction of Yarn this weekend on social media. Please keep the suggestions coming it totally helps....
