Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but pretty sure we are going to spend our Halloween w/ Yarn in Rocky Mount, VA. Sucks that it is a Monday, but we are going to make the best of it.
Have to figure out costumes. We spent last Halloween at MSG with Dead and Company, so this is a good follow-along.

It was a great night. Lot's of fun. Lot's of great music. You can see the setlist. 4 Elvis songs, two band members dressed as Elvis. Two new songs from the new recording sessions/album.
I'm always pretty impressed by how many people in the crowd really know Yarn. The young woman next to me was familiar w/ Sioux City Gypsy. The requests included not just the regular sing-a-long favorites but a large part of the catalog (Schenectady was by request).
So this was my fourth show since Sept. I feel particularly blessed to witness this stretch of music.
First show I caught the first ever Jim Croce cover (Bad, Bad Leroy Brown) Second show I caught another first ever Jim Croce cover (Don't Mess Around w/ Jim) Third show I got what I believe to be the second ever Sioux City Gypsy (first debuted at Barnaroo on 10/1/16) Last night I got two debut songs.
Only negative about Yarn-O-Ween was the opening act. I get that bands don't always get a choice of who opens for them.
In this case Erin and the Wildfire, a local band our of Charlottesville opened.
I don't mind Erin, she has a lot of vocal talent, but when you have a band opening for Yarn, you don't really want to hear them play Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. Just not a good match.
