Boredom has taken over at work today. I spent some time on mapquest to break down this tour by the numbers. 14 shows in 14 cities in 10 states in 14 days. I used Raleigh as the starting/ending point so I did not factor in the haul to/from Brooklyn, it comes out to roughly 4100 miles. Assuming, and we all know what happens when you assume, that traffic is moving smoothly and VanMorrison keeps it together that's about 5 hours per day in the van covering an average of about 295 miles. Figure hangover >windshield time>load in>soundcheck>2+ hours of music>load out...we've got a badass/dedicated favorite band! Cheers to them! This is the Damn year!

Wow. I thought my 40 minute to and from work was crazy. Makes me love the band even more.

    We're having a great time!
  1.
That's the spirit Rickey. One day when you're touring in a coach liner with a pro driver you're going to miss this kind of stuff!

How many are you getting to Tennessee?
