Had to downgrade my mics to pick up some cash. I'm pretty pleased with the new Berliner CM-33s. Clear and bright sound on these. Rod will be pleased at how well his vocals came through in the mix. I wish I had run another set of mics down front as the low end isn't coming through much (sorry, Ricky B).
Anyway, a great set from the guys. They got rear-ended on the drive in and Andrew was nursing a sore shoulder. You wouldn't know it, though. Ricky, Bobby and Rod sat in with Edward David Anderson (formerly of Backyard Tire Fire) on a song in the opening set. Got a really nice Strikes and Gutters by request. I am currently digging the slow jam in I Let You Down. Christopher Street was a crowd-pleaser as always. Crowd was a little sparse at the beginning but steadily increased during the set.
I really enjoyed the festival. The next day provided unlimited beer tasting from 28 breweries and lots of bands including Town Mountain, Sol Driven Train, and Steep Canyon Rangers. I'll try to get it posted by mid-week.
