Just got this show from SNFLWR and I couldn't find a thread anywhere. Awesome board recording with eveything present in the mix so kudos to the taper.

Can anyone tell me about You See The Sun? Is it a Yarn song? because I couldn't find it doing a lyrics check on google. Great song in any case.
Also really dig the version of Slip Slidin' Away. I don't listen to Simon much probably because I was not impressed with his band when he traveled with Dylan back a spell. He sure has penned some awesome songs though.
Bring Me Down is an all-time favorite Yarn song and I seem to keep missing it ;(
Two versions of this one out there. Keiths version is a matrix. Great show
Mine is up there too but I'm all aud :D
There was one other taper there as well, but I dunno if he is gonna post his source or not.
All three of the aud recordings, or portions of the recordings were made from the same place. We were all clamped to a post about 3 feet from the stage. It gives and interesting mix because you get the PA and the live feed from the stage.
I wish more folks would have showed up for this one. I think there was maybe max 15 people in the bar at a time. The guys still played like the house was packed though :)
The slip sliding was fun, not one I'd expect to hear from Yarn. I really enjoyed it.
Well thanks for taping.....it's a really splendid recording and great show. The guys really do kick it out night after night regardless of the circumstances.
Ok, so I bit. First of all, revewers HAVE to shit on stuff somewhere in their review.
"The tunes are pleasant enough, and catchy in the moment, but they hew to the usual themes -- drinkin', druggin', lovin', killin' -- without adding much to age-old topics already well-covered by the old masters"
What's to be "added" to the topics of drinkin', druggin, Lovin' and Killin' ? To call Yarn or any other contemporary band derivitive is to state a colossal Duh, No Shit. The second hominid to bang on a log was derivitive. Everyone from Dylan and the Dead to Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake can be accused of such. Hewing to themes?....I LOVE those themes!
"With only one record so far, though -- the band's self-titled debut came out last year -- Yarn is still a work in progress, and a promising one at that."
Well bingo, I suppose that Empty Pockets was about to come out but not as of this writing. Add that one and the new one soon to come and I think even this guy would have to amend/eat his words about the songwriting. In any case, he's wrong.
I love a good troll as much as anyone but that line about the tunes being "catchy in the moment" is just flat-out wrong. Tell me you don't hear these songs and hum the choruses and lines for days after.
RC.. just to link this up.. see my post in the other thread.. :)
"... Oh Snap! that recording is amazing Bgreen! Possibly the best Yarn recording out there to date!
...and boys, you certainly did have a good show for the tapers! :)
Abilene is a stand-out for me, so great to hear how it has evolved recently, especially after reading RCs review from Manchester. This is also my first good recording of Schenectady and it is fast becoming my fav song... cant wait for the new album!
For someone living so far away from my favourite band at the moment, this is gold!
