This is a very special venue. Intimate, rustic, funky, and charming. It is an all-volunteer run cafe with no liquor license, but you can BYOB. Nestled in a motley neighborhood iin the shadow of the weirdly post-apocolyptic looking Sands Casino, an enormous dis-used Steel Mill. I love the volunteer staff & vibe here. It's a listening room, more than a bar. With rush hour traffic, it will probably take me an hour and a half to get there, but I will probably make the trip. The list of luminaries that have played there is amazing, including Townes Van Zandt, among others.

Is this one on any other Yarniacs' radar?

I was there, sure hope it gets archived. The whole show was killer, lot of their older tunes and an incredible version of Townes' "Waiting around to Die" the boys were in good spirits at the start of this Colorado run, and they put the crowd into even better spirits, managing to dance in a listening room full of people and chairs...Brought 3 newbies and they now have 3 new fans. The encore was Blake solo doing "Turn your Light on" and you could hear a pin drop until one drunken woman felt the need to chat up her neighbor... I had a split second fantasy of having a concealed carry permit and great aim, but I guess that would have brought down the mood. Her obnoxious behavior didn't change the intensity... this was one for the history books.
