Went up solo for this show last night. Got to the venue at the end of the Caravan of Thieves a Gypsy sounding band, they closed with a gypsy version of Bohemian Rhapsody, which to say the leas was interesting. Then they brought Andrew out for their final song which was played out in the crowd ala "Shine a Light On" style. Lots of foot stomping and hand slapping. Andrew told me the guitarist, Fuzz was a former member of Deep Banana Blackout. Then the main course. Blake said it was a wine and beer night since the Grey Eagle doesn't serve liquor. Started with a terrific Strikes and Gutters followed by Down On Your Luck. I will post the setlist below, but some high lights for me were Alone on the Weekend > NYC Found and No Future Together. Haven't seen those in awhile. They brought Fuzz out for the last four songs of the night and he was terrific on his acoustic. The set closing Devil Inside was great, Lies I Told was a nice choice for the encore. Then they stayed onstage and once they started tuning I knew we were getting Oh Sweet Nothing. This was the highlight of the night.. over 11 minutes long! The crowd wasn't as big as I thought might be there maybe around 100 people, but they all were having a good time. I am sure they will have some fn in Raleigh tonight.

Thanks for the review! Caravan of Thieves are entertaining, definitely theatrical. I've seen them many times--they're from up here in CT and Fuzz still plays with DBB. Cool that they played together on a few tunes. I'm assuming the one Andrew played on is "Raise the Dead". Sounds like it was a fun show.
