Went to the Arch Street Tavern on Saturday. My favorite place in CT to see a show inn a bar setting. The sound was amazing, the band is great spirits (Blake had a cold but you would never know from his singing), and the place was filled pretty well with plenty of people dancing. Blake took a request halfway through the set and continued to take requests for quite a while after. Very cool. Lots of great new stuff, a few oldies, and LOTs of crazy jams. With respect to past drummers, the new guy is the best since J. Man oh man does he bring a little extra something to the band. No Trevor, but Rod sounds just great singing backup. Can't wait for New Haven!

    Arch Street Tavern - 3/15/14 -

    Start 11pm:
    Wasted Words

On the Road - long outro jam - Andrew ate his Wheaties this day.
One Man's Trash - beautiful ballad

Take the Win - this song has jumped into my all time favorites. Damn!
    Schenectady - request
    Annie - request
Dirt Road - request - sorry RC, yeah, it was quite perfect
Banter - "You are all writing the setlist tonight!"
Fuck You - "Fuck you too! Here it is."
Music's Only Outlaw - request - new jam in the middle - Blake funky acoustic, new drummer jazz beat, Rciky laying it down.... amazing stuff....
Turn the Light Off - request
Banter - "Got a cold so right into our two song encore. One slow and one to get fucked up to."
Angel Place that Halo - request for Michelle
    Bad Bad man -

    End: 12:55

didnt see any microphones but though I saw John D a the end so maybe this one will pop up. Could be totally wrong though. More importantly, where the hell where the Tous'?

    Um, jgoods...you still drunk? Lol!

    1) did you mean Wasted Life or did they cover the Allman Bros?
    2) did you mean Let Me In instead of Fuck You?
    3) New Haven on Saturday? This is March bro. That date is in May and it's a Thursday.

    ....more sleep....more coffee!

So sorry I had to miss this one but our play got rave reviews and it's always fun to be with my kids~

Ok. First, John - what a great great recording!! so appreciate the quality of your stuff. Everyone needs to grab this show! The MOO is one of many highlights. The band was ON this night. Also, if you had any doubts the new drummer is just a vast improvement and harkens back to drummer #1, then listen to this show and what he brings. The 6:00 mark in MOO he is laying down suck a jazzy, funky, shuffle beat. So good! And Lights off is just great.

Again, CT gets some unique shows, and this is no exception. Grab this show!

Must say they kicked as at this show. Seemed tight and feeding off each other. I am always wishing they'd go on more extended jams. They did to a degree. The MOO was great, Blake was on. Andrew rocked, they all did. Wished a two set show but....

Great reviews everyone. I've been listening to this show all day. The new song (Stranger in this Town) is so good. No surprise of course. How does Blake do it? It's one great song after the next. He does not follow any reeds and writes songs that tell a story and have pure emotion. Its organic. It all comes from the heart. Once the band gets there hands on the song they help bring it to life. No other band on the planet has what Yarn has.

Just saw this recording up on Dimeadozen. Guy cribbed it from JohnD's post at Lossless Legs.

Look what he has to say about it:

This is a fantastic recording I picked up at Lossless Legs a couple of days ago. I had
never heard of this band before so I checked them at YouTube

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQgBHxPptuE

and then I was on. The recording is superb and a great thanks to oleo86 over at LL for
this new find (at least it is new to me).
Nothing is changed from the seed at LL, so if you picked it there, join seeding.
