   I bought omni caps for the VM-44s yesterday. Now I'm thinking about a V3. I resisted the upgrade bug for over 5 years. And now I'm a gear slut in under a week.

   It's distorted out front sound day. This is fucking terrible. I really wanted to pull the heat with my new mics. Instead I get garbage. WtF Lincoln? Doubt this ever gets posted.

    2h 31m of Yarn. Listening to the Milab>V2>DR60D source now. It is not as bad as I thought it would be. It actually sounds pretty good on my desktop speakers right now. The sound in the room was way too loud. I did not re-stock my earplug supply.The low end was way low. I ran the Milabs higher than the rest of the mics. May have missed out on some of the subs action.The kick drum was high in the mix. Blake's vocals were a bit crunchy for most of the night. The guys opened with a new tune..."Darkest Hour" maybe?
    
    The guys were on fire, though. Abilene was a smoker for sure. MOO was great with Fuzz adding some fast picking on the acoustic. Mandy's song was really good. I'll post up a full set list later. I drank a low ABV beer (Founders All Day IPA) all night so I could be coherent packing up my gear (and my buddy's V2). Which I was. Then the Yarmy rolled into our hotel room and the party went until after 5 a.m.

    Thanks cd. I am beyond frustrated with upload errors. Last night I came home and 5 tracks had errored. I tried to re-up. The first track, the progress bar flew almost all the way over in a second, then I got an "IO Server Error" message. Same with the other 4. When I tried to go back, the upload screen only showed the text file.
    
    I will need to clear out my dropbox a bit to do that if this upload fails.

    Great review/upload. I have to say I am in love with that Amanda Stamey song. Blake got all choked up. Blake's soon to be wife can sing.

    Mandy has a gig opening for Chris Knight at Southland Ballroom on 4/6. She has a great voice. I'm sure it will only get better with a little stage time under her belt.

    If I remember correctly I think Mandy sang lead on a cover I'm on Fire a few years back.
    
    the only time I've heard Trevor sing lead was on a Dead tune. He's great. Even Rod is great. I have some of Rod's solo albums and hes mad talented.
