Man, I can't wait for Friday. If anyone's considering a drive for Yarn, this venue is tops and the crowd the last two times have been wonderful and into the show.
I should be able to get that package out to bgreen this week finally.
Oh shit, did I fuck that up? Sorry, I'm lucky if I get the damn deck running on time with proper levels. I always have to keep asking him what the gear is when folks ask 'cause I can't upload. Those mics are decent but it made a huge difference when he got the pre-amp. Things were much flatter before that. I listened to this nearly all the way through today and it still amazes me.
See you tomorrow I hope JohnD. Jack's in it looks like and a few other friends as well. Let's fill the place with Yarners again y'all.
This is probably one of my top ten most played Yarn shows. I wore out the CD. NYC was also a killer show. They jammed till the cows came home at both shows.
Noting as the 9/11 anniversary approaches and all the mosque and Kuran burning talk goes on, that a group of Americans came together last year for a special evening that under the shadow of such sadness, spoke aloud of our collective good fortune to be there. The toast and 15 second moment before No Future Together still chokes me up.
Thanks Yarn and thanks NYC for all of your resolve and beauty. Looking forward to visiting both of you tomorrow~
Listened to this favorite again yesterday. It struck me that I miss a few things about the band already. For one, Music's Only Outlaw is such a masterpiece of song. Must we sandwich another song into it every time it's played? This one runs out to a full 20 minutes with nothing but spacey exploratory jamming. Just amazing.
This is Yarn at there best. Classic stuff. ITA about Music's Only Outlaw. It’s killer without any filler. LOl I love the part in Abilene when the song slows down and you think it’s coming to an end. Then someone in the crowd says more and then you get this drum buildup and they take it out on the highway for another minute or 2. It’s epic.
