    You NC boys have fun at the Yarn show tonight. If you didn't get an invite, sorry to rub it in. I'm in Memphis for What the Folk? festival.

    At least one taper should be there.

    I was lucky enough to get an invitation but can't go, so I'm glad to hear that someone's taping! I think they wound up with a three- or four band line-up... I'm really bummed I've got to miss it!

    Anyone going to the Casbah tomorrow night for Blake's solo show? Hoping to make it myself - will depend on how bad my husband is jet-lagged from his Vegas trip this week!

    Very cool, Brouche! Thanks for sharing... I was really hoping I could have made this show with my family, but my husband was on a trip and there was no way I could have managed our two boys without him. The three-year old alone needs at least two people! :)

    Looks like it was a great time! And a great idea too... from what I understand, a few folks went in on a Yarn yard party and build a nice little festy out of it! And very glad to hear it got taped!

    They called him "Just Phil" and he was way more than Just. He was pretty damn awesome. Apparently he was a substitute for the guitar player in the band that played before Yarn. He sat in for a bunch of songs and just ripped it up. It was a fun show like always, great little private festival. Glad I was able to make it. Amy, my wife decided to stay home with our kids in fear of our little four year old. I think they would have been all right.

    Sounds like the two of them could find some trouble together, badlab! Kyle's hobbies include breaking things, jumping from high places, and finding bugs... :) Not trying to wish his childhood away, but I do look forward to being able to do things like this with him without it being mostly work! My older one didn't need as much wrangling at this age as my little one does! Second child and a boy - what else should I expect?!

    I meant to ask about the other guitar player too. Mystery Phil, eh? I guess he was a substitute for The New Familars' guitar player. If anyone's curious, the line-up also included Flannel Church, Painted Dog, and Drifter’s Escape.
