Hello there. New member. Saw the band last Sat for the first time. Planning on going Friday as well. As for the sax player...Jason Goose? Something like that...I wanted to get the personnel correct before I upload to archive.org.

Welcome, Mark! And thanks so much for feeding the need! Can't wait to check this show out! Really happy to see the band growing their following out west and attracting kind people like yourself that help keep us all strung out on Yarn! :) Great video too - thanks for sharing!

Welcome to the boards Mark. *Waves* Kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. Like Amy said thanks for feeding the need. Yarn is on there way to world domination. Normally if it was a Hometown NYC gig I would say the sax player was Jay wall who plays with them from time to time. However I not sure who played with them at this gig. Maybe Blake will stop in and help you out. Awesome videos. Keep it up.

Great videos! Blake just calls the sax Player Goose and says that he's from the early days, before they were Yarn and just after. I'm sure you could ask on their FB page and get a response.

so obviously tapermark has great taste in music so my prediction goes like this. He taped Yarn the other night, has been listening to his recording and will walk in tomorrow night much more familiar with their music and will walk out blown away and hooked for life!

Anyone else think that I have that right?

    ;)

Hey All! New member here. Been following Yarn at archive for a few years based on recommendations of a music trading buddy from RI.

Was stoked to see they were finally coming out west and was hoping they'd play some bars before they hit Strawberry Music Fest. Sure enough did, so the wife and I made a 3-day plan to travel from our home in Chico, CA, drop the kids in Ashland, OR with the fam and set out for an old-fashioned mini-tour! Saw this one, taped by Mark and the following night taped by James in Eugene.

The band was terrific! The shows were horribly promoted and the crowds WAY too small, but the band treated us to 2 great shows...despite the small audience.

They will get noticed at Strawberry. The "right" people will hear them and Yarn will be playing to larger crowds in better venues next time they visit the West Coast!

That's all I have to report for now. Thanks for letting me join your forum.

Well congrats on your first Yarn shows high flow and we're very pleased to have you join us. They really are a special band and like you, we've all had the same experience of being blown away and wondering just where the Fuck IS everybody!

Nice job on the road trip~

We finally get them back here at the Roadhouse in a copule of weeks. Hey, you could book a flight and join us! ;)
  9.
Welcome, high flow! Glad to hear you were finally able to get yourself a live Yarn fix! The word of Yarn may be slow-spreading, but it sure gets ya hooked! And whether it's 20 or 200, they always kill it!

Thanks again for taping, Mark... there's some really smokin' tunes on this show!
  10.

Amy, did you miss Mark's link to all these videos at the top of the page?

    Killer stuff indeed.

    Nope, RC, I didn't miss them - I made a youtube playlist and was listening/watching so I thought I'd share one... :)
