Started out with Trigger Hippy last night in Greenville, SC. What a great show and fantastic bunch of musicians. Took today off to rest up for Big Daddy Love tonight in Winston-Salem and tomorrow afternoon at a BBQ festival. Then Possum Jenkins and The Dirty Guvnahs tomorrow night. It's a music-filled weekend!
I have to second the Trigger Hippy Shout. What a fantastic band, if they play near you check them out, they are great! But getting in at two then at school at 7, and field day has fried this guy. Two kickball games tonight and then I am checking out for the evening. Had fun last night hopped and brouche.
RC that is my favorite Daydream, I love it. I could listen to it over and over again. Just a beautiful song and jam. The whole recording is one of my favorites.

And it is longer than the other versions - bonus! This song is so kickass... the chorus is like a perfect mantra and the melody just lifts my heart. Seriously great, Blake!
Checked out Trigger Hippy - thanks for the recommendation, you guys! I've caught Joan Osborne several times - absolutely amazing pipes!
What a weekend it's been. Same as Hopped and Bad, it started in Greenville with Trigger Hippy. That is a great band. It'd be noce to see it become bigger than a side project. Then it was off to Merlefest for the rest of the weekend. Lot's of great groups I've heard before with several new ones (at least to me).
Assembly of Dust was there for three sets. The smallest crowd they play to was about 200 people at it's peak. The only reason this was small was that The Waybacks were playing their album hour at the same time. If a band like AOD can play that festival, there is no reason Yarn is not there. The exposure for bands at these things is invaluable. Some other new and notables: Steel Wheels, Blind Boy Chocolate and the Milk Sheiks, Jeff Brousard and the Creole Cowboys, Red June, Honeycutters, Jonatahn Scale Fourchestra.
