This show was a face-melting experience from beginning to end. Dante's inferno indeed! A definite download. Every song was intense and inspiring. The drumz and then jam into the DBMHA reprise was ferocious. Turn the Light Off was also intense and a keeper. After the show, both tapernate and I told various band members how great the show was and just got a "aw shucks, yeah that was a good one." They are so humble. an additional surprise was the owner John and the sound guy Ben from the Purple Fiddle drove an hour north to enjoy the show. Ben and I chatted a few times and he thanked me again for the Black lillie cd's from the Purle Fiddle performance 11-05-11 that I gave him at the yarn New Year's Show. Definitely worth the high winds we battled on the way to the show and the blinding snowstorm after the show on our commute to Clarksburg, WV later that evening.

The sound guy said I could have a soundboard patch as long as I posted a copy for him to download and he unplugged his deck. I tried to explain we could daisy chain since he was recording with a small olympus recording like the Tascam DR08. He just thought it was easier for me to have the patch.

Here is tapernate's 4 mic neumann mix:

the bass is more pronounced since he ran the cardiods in the mix. I go back and forth on which one I like better depending on the song. The crowds are getting louder everywhere. Really missing the listening rooms like the Ashland Coffee and Tea House and the Night Cat. Need a chatty crowd zapper.

Listening now....sounds great but yeah, a tad crowdy. Friday night crowds are usually chattier than Saturdays~
