....got to three games this year at Gillette. We exacted our revenge on the Nyets, then on Denver, then on Baltimore and only tous' team is left for the perfect revenge ending to the season.
Actually, I like the Giants. They've always been my NFC team from back in the day when they had the greatest coach ever, propping up Parcells.
In truth, this game is an absolute coin toss. If the Brady that played Denver shows up, Pats win. If the one that played Baltimore shows up, they're toast.
Well I don't have a dog in the fight this year, but since I grew up about 40 miles from Giants Stadium and really can't stand the Pats, I am rolling with Eli and Big Blue this weekend.
LETS GO BIG BLUE!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HALF TIME SHOW SO I CAN STEP OUTSIDE AND GET MY HEAD READY FOR THE 2ND HALF WHILE LISTENING TO SOME YARN-I KNOW I SURE AS HELL WONT BE WATCHING MADONNA.I'M THINKING SUPER BOWL 2015 YARN WILL BE THE HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT!!!
I just heard that they picked the halftime show for the 2014 NY Super bowl. They originally were going to go with Bon Jovi but instead decided to go with Yarn. That would so rock but would never happen. I can picture the whole stadium on the feet singing No Future Together or I want a piece of pie or Fussin' & Fightin'. LOL
Awesome game. Welker blew it for us and I don't know why NE punted the ball back to Eli with 3 minutes laft....dude has scored 90% of the time all year in that scenario. I also was yelling at 'em to lay down and let the G-men score to spare the clock as soon as Tynes was in range. Tynes ain't no Cundiff.
I didn't understand that whole deal of letting them score. I also didn't understand Eli telling Bradshaw NOT to score.
I understand clock management and I understand their rationale....but I just don't agree with letting a team score or telling your player NOT to score.
You see, I'm a Giants fan and I remember Joe Pisarcik and Herman Edwards. NEVER assume...and anything can happen...
I remember that play too tous but they're in chip-shot range down two and the game is essentially over. Letting them score is the ONLY chance you have. If Bradshaw drops on the one, it's GAME OVER. One, maybe two runs at the endzone....clock expired.....kick and it's all over. If Gronk was just one good step forward of his position on the hail mary, Pats might have won the game. The small chance of missing the kick is less than the chance of giving Brady the ball back.
