Had to sit Raleigh out last night, but thank heavens I get to make the short trip to Asheville to the show tonight!!! Looking forward to hanging out with hopped and brouche and meeting the Tous' tonight...
So glad the band was live streamed last night. Not the best audio (lot of crackling), but it sure was fun to spend my Sunday evening listening to the show in real time. They threw in a few rare gems for sure and they played amazing as usual. Even though it only clocked it an 1 1/2 hours (Dangermuffin shared the bill), it was another exciting set. Did I mention this live streaming of recent shows is just awesome?
"You Don't Love Me Anymore" was a nice surprise as an encore. The Outlaw jam with Mike Sivilli melted my face again. Goddam Yarn.
Two great nights, and to think, no Christopher St., no Let Us Pray, no Dead...but no disappointments. Well, maybe the 90 minute set but this was the last of like 10 nights in a row for them so understandable.
Oh...and for all of you put there that think you're the biggest Yarn fan ever...you met your match and lost last night. One of badlab's friends was off the charts crazy....made our friend Nathan up north look like a fucking funeral director.

Ha! The Loudmouth Josey Wails (Shawn Josey) was the breakdancing fool. He does that at most every Yarn show. He is a great cheerleader and enthusiastic fan. He's a good guy as long as he stays away from the mics.
You can hear Blake encourage him on many Yarn tapes made in NC the last year and a half or so.
Good ole Josey. You won't find a more enthusiastic, dancing fan. The show although short was very solid. After 14 or 15 days on the road, I thought the boys played with a great amount of intensity. Also nice to hear Roadhouse live for the first time. I had a high school friend from NJ come out and it is safe to say she has caught the Yarn bug. It is hard not to. It was great meeting the two Tous'. Glad your trip to North Cackalaky was memorable. Only 12 more days til Yarn in my hometown of Hickory!
I should have guessed that was Shawn that tous was talking about! He is definitely very enthusiatic - and apt to give a testimonial when in close proximity to a mic! Glad you all had fun in Asheville - it sounded awesome on the live stream!
Ugh, so many shows I'm missing - I wish I had a teleporter! I mean, seriously, what drive and determination the Yarn boys have to play so many nights... they're machines! Awesome, rocking machines! ;)
Thanks again to all the Yarmy in North Cackalacky...we had a great time and appreciate the hospitality. Well, except for the State Tropper, but what the hell...it was only a warning.
Mrs. Tous's birthday celebration was so fun she's trying to convince me she's got another birthday coming up on March 23rd in NYC.
I did three videos with Blake's flip camera. I couldn't see up front where Josey was dancing, so when Blake said "Hey Dale, tape this" at the beginning of NYC Found, I taped the band. Didn't even know Josey was there break dancing until I saw him after the show with dirt all over his shirt. My bad, Blake. I'll get that fool next time.
Other two songs I did video on were Roadhouse and MOO.
And just in case you were interested... here is Dangermuffin's set. I thought they were just fantastic. If you do nothing more, listen to the Crazy to end thier set, it was blistering. Ricky B and Andrew were getting down to this. Check it out. http://www.archive.org/details/dangermuffin2012-01-29.matrix.flac16
