After getting a response to my Yarn Bio thread I planed on opening up a Yarn thread on a DMB message board and cutting and pasting there Bio. I figured it was an easy way to help spread the word. I also thought that maybe the DMB fans may dig Yarns music. Most big music fans especially Jamband fans are very open when it comes to music. I registered and was about to open the up the thread when I noticed that they already had a thread. The thread had one post which had a link to Yarn performing Music’s Only outlaw on fearless music. They also said that they can almost see them opening for DMB one day. Since nobody responded in months and the thread did not have there Bio I figured I would cut and past it. So I did just that. Then 5 minutes later I realized I forgot to add something to my post so I went to edit it and it would not let me. So I added another post and then another post. You can only edit something within the first 5 minutes of posting it. It’s some stupid rule. Anyway the first response after me was hoping the thread would actually be about yarn (knitting) not some silly band. They even called me some names and wished I got banded. Then a few more people replied wishing it was also about knitting and then they hijacked my thread. It was kind of funny. Did I do something wrong? I introduced myself told them I was a big fan of the DMB and then pasted Yarn’s Bio. I was not rude at all. WTF is up with that. Who needs them anyway? How Rude!

Well you know, on bigger older sites like that, boredom sets in with some who get a kick out of that sort of thing so I wouldn't sweat it. Some of the biggest internet trolls are school aged too so just move on. Nice try though.

Ha ha, maybe someday we'll be around long enough to jump someone for trying to introduce a band to us~ ;)

It’s all good. I already moved on. Maybe if I offered them candy or a free puppy they would have jumped on board? lol Just wait till Yarn is opening up for the DMB or vice versa then they will really care.

I don't wanna make this a bashing of DMB music or fans but

    1. I find ZERO similarity of these two bands music.

    2. I hope I never share my personal SPACE at a YARN show with (majority) of DMB fans.

    3. earlbny......Keep spreading the YARN word though.

    It takes all KINDs

Like an after school special I just did not know who to turn to. So I posted that on a silly DMB message board. I agree that there music is different other then the fact that they like to Jam and play music. I just thought that they might be more open minded and love all kinds of music like me. Maybe I should have tried a Tim McGraw message board instead. lol I will Keep spreading the YARN word and will not stop till each and every person on the face of this earth knows who they are and each member of the band gets to drive off the lot in a used sub-compact. lol

    hey earlbny......
i'll admit it was me who started the Yarn thread on Ants....
I was a big Grateful Dead fan until they started kicking down the fences to get in to concerts...and ive been a Dave Matthews fan since they opened for the dead in 95
it seems bands can move along happily for years hardly noticed in the mainstream and luckily for their fans continue to make great music and fantastic accessible live shows then......
all of a sudden its cool to be a fan and every asshole jumps in with their point of view
dont let them assholes ruin your fun ...
personally i think Dave is a great singer/songwriter/guitarist and the same with Ryan (and we all now as well as them they have lots of assholes to deal with)
Yarn seems to be having a blast touring around getting smashed playing what ever they want ....
yeah for Yarn for keeping it real......

Ha ha, remember the early days of the internet? Things used to get really heated at lots of boards. I think folks have chilled a bit in general. Again, maybe Yarn will get big enough that we can have our very own e-fights right here at 5G! ;)
