Unfortunately, Andrew "only" got the first 180 minutes of the show (wait...wut?). Just as unfortunately the last track that's listed as "cut", "Salt Creek/Woman On The Interstate" didn't make it to archive so I'll fix tonight. User fuckup.
7 songs at over 10 minutes. Melt-your-face-off time, kids.

Can't thank you enough Tous... I should have been there. And actually, I was... Briefly. I had called this venue no less than 3 times cause my daughter really wanted to see RRE and Yarn to find out if I could bring underagers into the bar to see the band. I was told it was okay, as long as I had a table... reserved a table, called again to make sure and thought it was all okay (because I was assured it would be) My daughter was especially excited cause Blake told her that Tim Carbone would most likely do some jamming with them (she plays violin and is a huge fan of RRE & Tim Carbone) Was billed as an after party but the venue made the Yarn boys start at 10... needless to say I was at RRE "Smilin' like a Buddha" when Yarn started... my husband brought some of the kids over early to get the table "just in case" and let me know that Yarn had started. So left RRE before the encore to hit Yarn "just in case" the place got packed after RRE and they wouldn't let the other kids in. Brought them in only to discover that the bar would kick out the kids as soon as the kitchen closed... in a few minutes! Why they didn't tell me that on the phone, who knows. Sucks. Missed end of RRE, missed beginning of Yarn, and at midnight, we were told to get out. So after just a few songs, just as Tim Carbone was walking in, we had to walk out. Ouch. I am not a big fan of the Sarah Street Grill for this... So glad Andrew captured it. What I did hear was awesome. Looking forward to hearing all that I missed. That's what I get for trying to expose kids to good music. My mistake. Anyone know where I can get a couple of good fake id's?
What a drag, Stony! So sorry to hear you and your gang had to miss most of the show :( You may remember that this was the show I was trying to get to when I was up north but no dice for me either, so I'm also glad that Andrew and tous got it for us! Thanks, guys!
So it's safe to say that Yarn pretty much lives "en fuego" (good descriptor, tous!), but Tim Carbone done gone and lit a bigger fire up under 'em! :) This is a great show - Rod is definitely missed, but Jay and Tim are great additions and Andrew just tears it up! And 3+ hours?! Gotta love the Carbone effect!!!
That's a crappy sitch for you Stoney, sorry to read about it. I was so glad that I could bring my 13yr old to the acoustic Blake and Andrew gig this past summer. Man, Jorma and Jack got nothin' on those two cats!
RC: So glad you could bring your kid to see them... I should have known better, but the Railroad Earth/Yarn combination was way too much of a temptation. I took my kid to see RRE for the first time this past summer and she's been hooked ever since. What's not to love right? And Yarn, well, they are a family affair for us. My daughter even gave her friend a Yarn CD for Christmas... and yes, he now wants to join us at the local coffee house when they play... Thankfully you don't need to be 21, it's BYOB, and now the kids are old enough to drive US home! Should be interesting. Hopefully there won't be any embarrassing banter, but no guarantees :)
