    The 9th Annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival will once again come to San Francisco's Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park. Set to go down October 2-4 2009, the first round of artists has been announced. And did we mention the fest is FREE! Gotta luv that.

    If you added Yarn and Railroad Earth to that line up, I'd make the trip to San Fran.

    Ever since I heard Yarn I've been thinking they'd be a great fit at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass... It's a great festival. Some bluegrass for sure but a lot of acts that you wouldn't necessarily expect at a "bluegrass festival" - last year, MC Hammer was on the lineup! Gillian is a standby every year and I'm surprised to not see EmmyLou and Steve Earle this year, as they've been there every other year I attended.

    Sadly, I'll be at a wedding in Massachusetts that weekend :( Same weekend as ACL too. I'm really bummed I can't make either!
