    Way to go Reckless!!!!
  2.
Talking to The Ivory Tavern right now, and dude on the phone has no idea about this being scheduled and says there's no music on Tuesdays. 1 Krtland st has the Ivory "restaurant" listed, not the Ivory tavern........wondering if the address, the name or the date are possibly incorrect.
  3.
Facebook has it pretty cleaer so maybe dude just hasn't gotten the word.
  4.
I'm so jealous... Glad you will be there to capture it Reckless. Sending a friend who lives about 10 minutes from there... she said it's the Ivory Pub.
  5.
    woohoo RC!

    Sounds like a great gig!

Honestly, with a duo doing acoustic, I'd rather hear all originals and maybe even a new work-in-progress or two!

Hell, maybe "Let's Get Dark" !
  6.
    (((((johnD)))) meet us there !!

RC just said this morning... with just the two of them maybe we'll get a ''let's get dark"
great & strange minds think alike ;)

agreed tous but i'm always up for a stella blue. always.
  7.
I agree with tous. Old break-outs, new stuff and rearranged regulars. In fact, I wrote them the setlist:

Never Been Much Of A Man
    Nashville
    An Angel In Woodstock
    Reckless
    I Love The Way
    One More MIle
Some new fuckin' thing we ain't heard yet!
    Can't Slow Down (slow version)
    Lou Ann
    Let's Get Dark
    I've Already Won
    My Wasted Life
    Thank You For Coming 'Round
    Big City Bright Lights
    You See The Sun
    Rock You Ready
    You Don't Love Me Anymore
    Girl On The Side
    Strikes & Gutters
    It Took A Long Time
    Dark Skies
    I'm Down
    Bars Don't Look Too Friendly

    e:

    Take Me Out Misery

    There, that should do it!!!

Lol!.....yes, I'd shat meself if they ever did that list.
  8.
....and yes, John D hope to see you there brother~

Sub Madeline for Nashville (never did like that one) and I think you got sumpin'

I think I've only heard Let's Get Dark twice. At my first show, 2009-12-29 and RC's birthday gig. Archive shows 10 shows with Let's Get Dark and 2009-12-29 is the first one I could find and RC's birthday show is the last.

you guys are so lucky. Wish I could go.

Eating seafood on the coast in Old saybrook and then heading up to the ivory. stopped in to check it out. real small, quaint, no stage at all. Will try to tape and will keep ya posted. chris jankowski is also scheduled to be present.......from my phone....no shit eh.
  10.
....and tous slighting Misery.......what is our yarn world coming to.
  11.
Well it's 3:00am cause I drank a coffee on the ride home and I've just been listening and viewing for an hour. I gotta crash but it was just as splendid as we all imagined it would be. The place was packed and almost everyone was riveted to the music. I set up 8ft away with both audio and video so all you cats will get to see it as well. Setlist tomorrow but I'll mention the new song titled Blue Skies Brighter Times and Roses and what can I say about it except Blake fuckin' wrote it, right? Nuff said.

    Wow

    ..........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Good to see the local Yarmy again! RC, not sure that was a new song. I thought that was one that will be on 'Leftovers Vol. II'. I remember thinking, huh...THAT's a leftover??

Agree it was a very cool show to see. Some rarely played gems along with some Dead covers.

    Next up...Hungry Tiger Aug 12!

I think it is an older song... according to archive there are three shows with that song two in '07 and one in '08...

Sounds like you all had a blast. Blue Skies Brighter Times and Roses is an older song. At least I think it is.
  12.
Brilliant can't wait to hear and see it!

Blue skies is back!! Love that song. i was literally half way through posting the other day wondering what happened to that one, when i got distracted. they played in at one my favorite recordings in 08. Theodore also played it at open Mic night.

i mentioned it a while back on the track list thread, but it never got added to the list.

Thanks again RC for your recording / video efforts!
  13.
    You're quite welcome ant~

Apparently it is older....my bad. I guess it's good that I get out-yarned sometimes ;) Plus I can't cruise the Archive and listen back to older stuff.

    Set One

    My Wasted Life
Never Been Much Of A Man
    The Contender
Blue Skies Brighter Times and Roses
    Tennessee
    Final Bow
    Singing Jim Croce
    Brokedown Palace

Set Two - with Chris Jankowski

    Mama I'm So Sorry
    Friend Of The Devil
    Helpless
    Shine The Light
    Empty Pockets

    Blake Solo

    Dark Skies

A bongo player invited himself to set up during the set with Chris. I didn't get his name and he didn't add much. To his credit, he didn't step all over the show. My recording is crystal clear although it had to be mono 'cause I was so close that it would have been way unbalanced otherwise. Fortunately, our friend John D also showed up and made a multi-mic set up so I anticipate something really sharp when he gets his mastered.

The video camera was placed on the table10ft away so it's static and frames them in close. Bummer that it was very dark and so there's not much color in any of it. Still, I'm really pleased with it so perhaps I'll take the time to synch up the most HQ audio. Lots of great highlights.....the Tennessee intro was worth the trip!

Great to see some familiar faces and a few that have been absent from the last few area shows. Thanks so much to Blake and Andrew for always being so accomodating to the tapers. It would have been a shame if this didn't get snagged and I hope they do it again, do it again, do it again, do it again!

    Friend of the Devil ???!!!???

I've been asking for that one for a while. Maybe Blake is just practicing so it's perfect when he plays it at the next NC show. Yeah, that's it.
  14.
    Lol!

That's actually the third time I've heard it, once with just Rod (5/17/09) and he nailed it. Last time was Nectar's 8/8/09.

I'm just mastering the quick DVD (Camera Audio) right now so if anyone's real curious and wants to see it, let me know and send me your addy if I don't have it.

Darn it. We left for Maine on Thursday and try as I might, I couldn't get my copying program to copy the DVD discs before we left and finally had to give up. I may have to re-burn the master or something but I'll try again today. I will send out the audio master to tous today for certain.
