Welcome, Guest

  1.
I hope folks are checking in on the blog from time to time. Blake puts up some wonderful clips of song covers they play around with. Great Rickey Nelson song currently.
  2.

Their Tour Songs is now linked from their own site, yarnmusic.net up in the menu bar. Good thing because I couldn't get these video to work on their blog site.

Latest offering is up with covers of Tom Petty ("i've ever met anyone who doesn't like the man") and Van Morrison. Rod playin' piano is a great touch!

75 hours and still countin' !

My very first concert was Tom Petty & Heartbreakers opening for The J Geils Band in Bangor, ME in the summer of '78. It's been a spell since I've seen Tom but I caught at least a few of his shows over the years. I'll never forget the stunning 20 minute Breakdown that he did in Bangor that first night. Wow, goin' on 32 years ago.

    '78?

Saw TP open for Queen back in '75.

    You're just a pup. kid.
  8.
You saw TP before his first album came out? Small club or what?

    I'm a pup for one more year....then 50.

Must have been '76 then as it was after their debut. At the beautiful (what?) Springfield Civic Center. Now that I think of it, it wasn't Queen but Foghat. Hey, in any case, I'm friggin' old! What were we talking about again?
  9.
    ....sure it was Tom Petty?!!!

    ....56hrs....
