Selling pretty well for Yarn maybe but not on the evening of a huge downtown free music festival...cripes. Not bad though, def not empty.
The sound was excellent last night although this venue is as tough as it get for acoustics. My shotgun mics being as directional as they are sometimes makes or breaks things. I just did a quick check with headphones last night and I think I got some great stuff. I was right in front of Andrew's stage monitor so I clamped my left mic down low and pointed it straight there catching Rob's kit and Andrew's electric very prominent and loud on the left channel. The rest of the band along with Andrew's acoustic coming through strong right. Might be somewhat unbalanced but when Andrew kicks in the electric stuff, it just JUMPS.
Great setlist all around with the new songs really coming to life. The stretch from Good Lady through the Cat & Mouse is the heart of this show and as I said above, this Christopher street had me and tous shooting a what-the-fuck-was-THAT look at each other. The usual cookin' part to lead back into the chorus that Andrew does was excellent as usual but all he did really was trick Blake and Trevor and then he went OFF on the sickest jam I've heard for this song........you'll see ;)
So a great send-off to the Western venues......clear sailin' to the band into new territories~
This one went postal to tous yesterday. I sent the master instead of a copy to reduce the chance of a misfire. It really sounds terrific and the second disc gets cooooooookin'
Again, if anyone comes across a Christoper Street that rivals this one, be sure to point me to it!
Thanks to RC for a great sounding show. Mic placement was perfect.
Really liking the new songs here. RC was partial to Christopher St...me, I thought "Pale Blue Eyes" was one of the best versions they've done. Grab it, kids.

Thanks RC... I can't wait to get out and mow the lawn tonight and check this one out... The Dirt Road will be song number one for me... I can't wait to get out in that 95 degree heat and mow with some Yarn.
Good stuff here... the Christopher Street is amazing, best one I have heard... I am still partial to the Dirt Road from the Andrew Hendryx Ensemble night... I think this has the making of a 10 -12 minute song.
Wow! I listened to Christopher Street and it is mind blowing. They killed it. Andrew was in the zone. I heard Blake start to sing after the solo and Andrew was like I am not done.
I hate to beat on a drum too long, but I have listened to this Chris St. three times today and it is simply outstanding... I liked it driving in the car, I loved it walking the dog, and the jam was great grinding my bike up a big ass hill in the NC heat this afternoon... thank heaven's this was recorded. Thank you again RC. I definitely owe you a beer or three if we ever cross paths.
Very pleased to hear that you're all enjoying this one. If it was possible to wear out a cd, I'd prolly need another copy. I really like the Almost Home, C Street and Dirt Road from this one.
