I know its a ways away, but I can't stop thinking about the blue ridge, camping in the summertime and those rowdy Yarn boys ... I'm thinking it might be the perfect remedy for marking another year off of my life!

MK I know they're doing a show downtown with Charlie Daniels the same weekend so I'm not sure which I'll be at, definitely one of them though. I believe they're scheduled twice for Floyd, but the tickets for that thing are a bit more than what my "empty pockets" can handle right now-- Maybe I'll get a raise soon! *fingers crossed*

    Holler if you're coming!

Yeah I know about that show, but I won't be at any of those that weekend... That's the same day as Bruce Hornsby in Asheville, and I will be there for the weekend. Railroad Earth is my favorite band, so I am super bummed I am missing Floydfest, but seeing Bruce is high on my priority list right now. Can't wait for that show. I will be at the Pour House here June 23rd. We should meet up for that!

I will also be at the show in Columbia on June 27

Looks like a great line up this year. Timing's good, short drive, camping...most likely will be there!

Spent some time perusing the Floydfest website. Um, is this thing as fuckin' Nazi as they describe? Can't park on site, no beer...only their micro-brews....threats of cops and expulsions etc. RV passes gone already.

Not so sure about this one.

Anyone besides the band ever been?

Had a buddy last night tell us it's pretty strict unless you're staff or with a band. The problem (or not) with his pass was free access to all the taps in the hospitality tent. At least you can record openly. And the lineup is always killer.

Merlefest is even worse from what I gather.

I need to start a campaign to get Yarn to Shakori Hills here in NC, where pretty much anything goes. I archived all the sets in the dance tent there last fall. Good times. I think I will send the production manager an email today.

edit: I forgot. Same buddy was in an elevator with Shakori production manager and Blake in their hotel on NYE around 3 a.m.
