Snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches. Lows in the upper 20s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.
Um, maybe not such a good idea to read the google reviews of this place!
"Must agree with the other reviews, some of people working there have some serious issues. The Tuesday night open mic is one of the worst I've ever been to"
"cool looking bar! good bands play there. but the owner ... not a nice guy."
"the owner is probably the worst person that ever walked on this earth. He is mean and dark spirited and i am pretty sure the devil is his only friend. For real tho he almost punched my mother in the face one night."
Maybe now that he's "Reckless - guest vocals" he'll be tweeting and posting Facebook updates!
Another fun night, hopefully RC got home ok in the snow. Almost 2 1/2 hour show split in two sets. As with a lot of CT shows, lots of friends & family and good time had by all.
"Shine a Light" done Yarn-style is a treat. "5 Guitars' is always good to hear. "Christopher St"? How do you not smile during that song when Andrew's wailing? "Abilene" - how do you not nod your head when Rod's wailing? "Angel in Woodstock" - how do you not cover your ears when...well, nevermind!

Yes, the Shine A Light was amazing.....don't know Stones stuff much but Yarn really nailed that one. Blake announced the special guest appearance of Trevor McArthur!
The sound dude was very nice and really liked the band. Not much of a crowd but a snowy Wednesday was a tough call to start. Looking forward to Manchester next week~
An Angel In Woodstock was not played. tous has some issues with his imagination and stretches of truth; I suspect that his doctor is still experimenting with dosages.
Tape sounds ok although I could only point both mics into a single PA. Dude was running it mono so it should be in balance at least. I'll try to master it later today.
Thanks for all the reviews and setlist and stuff. Sounds like you all had a fun night. I have been listening to Shine a light over and over and over and over..... again. It's so good.
Well I was able to get this one mastered so it'll go out to tous to upload today. Sounds much better than I had anticipated.....even the Angel In Woodstock! The first few songs had the left mic splayed out toward the left speaker bank but I was too off center so after a spell, I swung them both into a mono main speaker so it's pretty well balanced.
Ok folks so this is what happened...Blake came to the mic to start An Angel In Woodstock and got caught up on the very first line, forgetting it. He stepped back and tried again. Got a little further but still drew a blank so I shouted out the next line for him and said I can do it! He then called me to the stage so I went to give him the next line but instead, he insisted that Reckless come to the mic and have at the first line. Normally timid about such things, I succummed to the magic of alcohol and gave it my best. Of course, my best isn't very good as you'll all hear. Perhaps the best compliment I can give myself is that it was bad....short of god-awful ;) So I sang.....goin' up to Woodstock, gonna find out what's in store gonna leave NYC for maybe a year or more walk down on main street....at which point Blake joined in and I had the good sense to get the fuck off the stage where I belonged!
So that began and ended my singing career and no matter how many calls I get from the band, I'm not going out on the road anytime soon.
Setlist edited and I also missed adding More to it so this one will all go out today. Some great versions of the songs and a great chuckle at Reckless for all y'all~
wish i'd been there, but i am enjoying listening to the show. . . i think you still have at least 10 minutes of fame coming to you RC. i believe with some voice lessons from phil lesh, you'll be just fine ;)
~ that took more than 'liquid' courage and i'm proud of you !
Credit where credit is due, I sure as fuck wouldn't have gone up there. I've said it before, the only thing worse than my singing is...well...my singing!
only thing worse than your singing . . . is my singing. seriously let's do a duet ! i've always wanted to sing greivous angel by graham parsons, out with the truckers and the kickers and cowboy angels and a good saloon in every single town . . .
Um, I get the Jerry reference But I hope that wasn't intended to sound so harsh. Actually, it's been very rare that I've heard any lyric flubs from Blake. Given the number of songs they keep in rotation along with all the covers, I'm actually impressed with his memory.
Great show. Reckless you did an great job with your singing. I am so tone def. I am always amazed when that band does all it does without a setlist. I have seen bands play 5 songs and have a setlist. I remember that comment at the Pour House.
Todd Snider once had a heckler who kept yelling for 'Beer Run'. Todd normally sings 9 or 10 songs before asking for requests but this guy was jumping the gun and being obnoxious. So he played 'Beer Run' straight through twice and then told the guy, "That was for you, buddy, now you don't have to come back next time." Off-topic, I know, but this thread made me think of that.
not meant to be harsh RC - just kidding. I too, remember that Pour House show. Hats off to ya - no amount of beer could make me get on stage and sing ;)
