I spent the entire weekend listening to the new album from Dangermuffin and I dig them. Here is what is says about them on there website. Sand-blasted roots rock with a sweet jam spread from Folly Beach, South Carolina. Keep in mind they do not sound like Yarn. they had a very happy sound to them. I hear everything from Reggae to Rock to Blues to Country and Bluegrass. I found myself dancing and singing along and playing air guitar after the 1st go around. One of the Jams reminded me of Eyes of the world. http://dangermuffinmusic.com to stream the new album. Feel free to let me know what you think of them.
I skipped out on Living Room show. This is the first NYC show I missed in 2 or 3 years. It was my sisters Birthday and a work night. Plus Yarn was only going to play for 30 minutes and it takes me longer to get into the city.
RC, I got three nights of Yarn in a row coming up next week. One in the mountains, one in the piedmont, one at the beach. Then it might be a month before I get another show.
If I don't get to see a show til the 4/1/11 that's on the schedule it'll be 2 1/2 months without seeing them. That'll be the longest stretch in two years!
There's a 3/23 weekday gig in New Haven that's tempting.
