Welcome, Guest

  1.
I see Yarn will be at the Pub in Mansfield, CT the night after....but if you can make the trip to Belchertown, it's a cool little club. They have a myspace page if you are interested.
  2.
Tough being a work night and so far away :(
  3.
I'm taking a vacation day on Friday.....it's a 40 minute drive for me....but worth the day off!

Ok, kids...Yarn on a motherfuckin' boat? No, but how about Yarn on a motherfuckin' roll? They're clearly hitting on all cylinders these days. Long days on the road are paying off as they're about as tight a band right now as you could expect.

A small but appreciative crowd was treated to some rare gems and some acoustic versions of regular songs.

    Soundcheck:

    Christmas Song
Desparate Amy (work-in-progress according to Blake)

    Set:
    Time Burns On
Annie (some ripping leads from both Rod and Andrew)
    Tired of Everything
Never Been Much Of A Man
Alone on the Weekend (nice new drum intro)
NYC Found (great new bass solo)
    Midnight Rider (um...WOW...Andrew on slide)
It Took A Long Time (acoustic)
    Singing Jim Croce (acoustic)
    Schenectedy (acoustic)
    Misery (acoustic)
    It's All Over Now
    Bad Bad Man
    Irish Jig>Woman On The Interstate
    Pale Blue Eyes
    Madeline
    Abilene (new break)>
Keep On Rockin In The Free World> (Jealous, ain't ya?)
    Abilene
Don't Break My Heart Again > drum solo > (great guitar duel)
    Christmas Song

    2 1/2 hours

I was reminded a few times tonight of RC's quote from his birthday party..."best goddam band in the land"

Tomorrow night (well, tonight actually) Manchester. Be there.

Okay, who wants to start a database of set lists that can be queried based on any number of parameters (# of times played, 1st time played, covers, etc.)?

I would do it, but I don't have the know-how.

And the Midnight Rider cover for me is probably the first tune I've heard Yarn play, original or cover, that left me thinking, "Meh."

    Was there a "Twofer Tous"?

No twofer. Ricky asked before the show (and refused on "Don't Worry Bout Me"!) but they never went there.

MR was really good. Great guitar jam. Granted, I'm a sucker for that song anyway.

Wow! IIII got nothing. Keep On Rockin In The Free World. I am beyond Jealous. What does Christmas Song &
Desparate Amy (work-in-progress according to Blake) sound like?

The Christmas Song you'll hear at the Kenny's show I'm sure. A typically sad song. Desparate Amy went from work-in-progress to full band song tonight at the Main Pub. Thumbs-up all around.
