We got three hours of Yarn last night, including a Theodore Bundy interlude. This was the biggest crowd I've seen for Yarn here in NC. Monster versions of "Don't Break My Heart Again", "Music's Only Outlaw", and "Cat and Mouse". Look for this one to be posted mid-week. There was a bit of chatter, but the Lincoln is about as fine a sounding room as you'll find.
Might want to look for this one a little later in the week or by the weekend. I got another Yarn show to tape this week. And I'm going to try to figure out how to remove the clapper that was beside me. I was feeling a little under the weather so this was a rare alcohol-free show for me. Blake and Theodore drank my share, though. They never lost a step that I could tell. Theodore came out and did "Schenectady" and "O My Sweet Carolina" and rolled them together a bit. The mandolin, fiddle, and banjo players from the opener Town Mountain came up and jammed on "New York City Found" and "Music's Only Outlaw".
I haven't even transferred from recorder to PC yet but I listened to it today, so here's the set list as I think it will be tracked (2 hours, 55 minutes):

Go see Yarn. But their stuff. Support taper-friendly artists.
I'm gonna try to minimize/eradicate the clapper before I post. I haven't played around with noise removal tools yet. There are a couple of methods people use.
My wife is out of town, I'm back to 100% physically, so there are some consecutive nights out in my immediate future. I'll try to get it done ASAP. Without separately tracking the segues/jams in MOO and DBMHA, there are 17 songs. That averages out to over 10 minutes per song with minimal banter.
Andrew won't be at the show tomorrow night. Haven't seen a show w/o Andrew yet. Does Rod get to show off his skills a little more w/o electric mandolin there?
RC made copies of a Red Square(?) video from last year that has no Andrew and Rod really does take care of business. Clearly they're not the same band w/o them both there but still worth seeing.
The only two players who have been at every Yarn show I've seen has been Blake and Ricky. What all the varied incarnations prove is the strength of the material itself. Yes, Rod very much steps up in Andrew's absence as the guys attested for at the recent Black Eyed Sally show in Hartford.
That said, Andrew is not replacable and the band. long term, would suffer greatly without him. So go and have fun and just hope they can all make the next one.
I go through periods of thinking a show sounds good, then I'll think it sounds like crap, then it sounds good again. Listening to this one all the way through for the first time in a while (I rarely fast-forward while I'm tracking the show, but I did on this one). I'm really digging the New York City Found and Music's Only Outlaw with the Town Mountain guys. The clapper is there in his full glory. But it's not as bad as I remembered it. I really love the sound in the Lincoln Theatre. You can hear Bobby playing an empty bottle with a drumstick a couple of times.
Blake had at least 6 tequila shots and a couple of beers while on-stage. The shots were flowing freely for the band. Two chicks jumped on-stage. One poured a shot down Bobby's throat while he was drumming. He protested but gave in to get rid of her. I took some video for Andrew. I sat the camera on a drink rail to get a steady shot but then some girl kept swaying in front of it. Some of it was crappy, but there should be several minutes of good stuff on there, including the entire New York City Found. Maybe something will get posted.
Looking forward to Bristol Rhythm & Roots. Lots of good bands playing that one.
