looking forward to tonight, bringing my soul sister/BFF/doppleganger who has not stopped listening to the cd's i gave her since i gave them to her. we are SO there ;)
Another solid Yarn show although the band fought some sound issues on stage much of the evening. Opened with Down On Your Luck followed by a slew of standards including a riiipin' Music's Only Outlaw. Pretty decent crowd which made for a fun party.....too much fucking talking though as usual. Got to meet Shane from here at 5G and it seems that he and Blake are good buds. He got invited up on stage to sing a song he and Blake wrote called I Want To Be Neil Young. that was a blast and Shane has the shirtless lizard dance down pat!
I have proof as I ran video again last night. It came out real sweet although as the dancing got underway, there were some obstructed views. All in all, a great recording though so look here at 5G for a link to a download before too long. If you can't download, drop me an e-mail at johnchristinat@yahoo.com and I;'ll get you hooked up.
I'm looking out at my property that desperately needs a shave but I'm toying with the idea of treking up north for onight's show in Burlington.
Sure did have a lot of fun last night and great to see a good turn out.. No knock on the sax but I really like the mandolin and lead electric combo. Fills in a lot of spaces without it ending up in a traffic jam though it was hard to tell at times as the pa mix was muddy to say the least. Would love to hear this band in a theatre with the right acoustics yo. Hmmmmm....
hhhmmmmm . . . indeed. i would love to see them at the tribeca theatre or something like that, no?
the red square was fun, lots of girls dancing & everyone seemed to have fun, including our group of course. some sound issues here and there but i think they played hard and there was a great energy. i have to admit, i too wish i was neil young !! ((((shane))))
good to meet you andrew, trevor and blake ~ till next time.
Looking to get this one up soon. Here's the setlist:
When You're Down On Your Luck Bad Bad Man Empty Pockets Music's Only Outlaw No Future Together Christopher Street More 25 Years Lies I've Told Abeline Woman On The Interstate Listen Up Sweetheart Bobby Weeks Woman On The Side I Wanna Be Neil Young (with Shane Spaulding) Cat & Mouse Don't Break My Heart Again Helpless (Neil Young)
Man, I had a blast....and a few beers....yesterday watching this one again. I know it was a struggle for the band that night but they blew the roof off the place. Andrew is a musical force of nature~
I finally made the switch to the new DVD and I am so glad I did. I could not stop watching the first one and now I can’t stop watching the second one. Now I know what it feels like to be an addict. lol I must have lost a few pounds from dancing around my living room. lol Shane has nothing on me neither does Elaine from Seinfeld. lol
