Welcome, Guest

  1.
Well thanks to the supreme kindness of my 5G friend yarnfollower who comped me passes, I'm heading out to my first music festival since 2005 vibes. Looking forward to a killer set from Max Creek on Saturday and then hearing the Yarn guys on a big sound system in front of thousands on Sunday afternoon~

    Whooooot!

....I'm callin' for a long, trippy Abeline for the hippies!
  2.
...hearing some unwelcome news at the Wormtown boards. Something about a band from mid Sunday cancellng and Strangefolk playing a smaller stage in their place. Hope it doesn't mean some mass exodus from the main stage area before Yarn takes starts.

Cool, I read a rumor on the wormboards that you might be around. I'll def see you at the taper's section for Yarn. Jam Stampede's good huh? I'll be sure to check them out. I'll be camping in the RV area; if you're out and about stop by for a cold one.

jam stampede is the zen tricksters with a new, dynamite post jerry guitarist. and a keyboardist. this is a acoustic show taped. a great post jerry experience http://www.archive.org/details/jamstampede2010-01-30.sbd.flac16 glad they are right after yarn. IMO the two highlights of the day............

Can't DL but I'll def hang for the Stampede. Following that is the Caravan Of Theives. They opened for Creek at the last Eastover festival and they were excellent so yeah, that looks like a strong part of the line-up.

Wow, what a weekend. I might have time for more later but thanks again to yarnfollower and to the band. Great to see everyone. Of course it was a festival set so it was short and sweet but very well played and the sound was excellent. PISSED that the rumor I heard was true. Strangefolk played a daytime set right opposite Yarn. Several hundred people made a mass exodus from the main stage right before Yarn began.

My recording is great dynamic-wise but there is some slight wind noise. John D was there though so perhaps we'll get a cleaner version.

    ...off to work...damn!

Well I won't be around this weekend 'cause I'm headed off to this hippie fest again this year. I'll be able to check the Colorado setlists from my phone though.......I'm talkin' to you cannedoxygen!

Hope the boys tear it up out West while I'm grooving to a slew of lesser bands back East ;)

Actually, New Riders and Max Creek tomorrow should be very cool. Hope to run into John D out there~

Had fun at the hippiefest, however, I suppose that I've just been spoiled by Yarn and Ryan Adams. Can't say that I saw a single band all weekend that iMpressed me. There were several young firm breasts that did not disappiont so I guess you take the good with the bad!
