Hey, I'm having a hard time searching out Come On In on the net. I thought it would be available at the yarnmusic.net store site http://www.yarnmusic.net/store.cfm but there's still only the free Wanted To Get High track.
Can anyone help me out? I can't download so I'm looking for anywhere that I can purchase a few copies.
....great new photo there at the store though of the whole band including Rob. That one should replace the one on the main page that doesn't have Andrew and Rob.
Blake posted the following in the news section of the .net
PRE-ORDER CURSE The pre-order has been cursed. I have no idea what exactly is going on or what went wrong but clearly it is not available at the moment. Hopefully Soon. Sincerest Apologies, Blake
Ok, I take back my initial hasty assessment of this disc. This collection of songs is first-rate, obviously, and my opinion that it's too laid-back was a bit premature. They still kick all kinds of ass live but this is a better representation than their other discs...and *those* were great! This is a great disc!
I have tried several times but I just get kicked and get an"internal error" message. Maybe tomorrow. And ya I am kind of partial to Misery too but I guess they have to save something for the next album.
Ha! I just won the prize for naming the newsletter!!!! ;) woo hoo. it goes out to JohnC as he is the inspiration and what turned me on to Yarn!!! so big thanks go to you bud cause i threw out that it should be named "The Reckless Companion" ;)
can't wait to listen to the new cd in my truck! ;)
Yes I have the skip in mine too. Some kind of digital artifact that will have to be mastered out by some random taper kind of person? So, I listened to the new album twice through today and it's of course awesome. Not a single burper in the whole bunch. Maybe this is a dumb question but I was just wondering what really got you guys hooked on Yarn in the first place. I think for me it was a combination of Blake's literate writing and the general musician ship and fit of all the members. Some how I can relate to so many of the stories that Blake tells in his songs. Must be my miss spent youth haunting me. I love it when a song can induce a fugue state for a while. Great way to escape reality in little bites. Also, all of the live shows that so many of you have posted on music archive.org have built a deeper interest for me. The live shows are another side of the guys that I enjoy. And man since I am spewing I wish people would just shut up and listen to the music at the shows.
Well, it was a very impressive run for a disc from a band that doesn't tour nationally, doesn't get a lot of press, doesn't do videos (exception for "On The Road" !) but sure rocks the house each and every show.
Come On In drops out of the Top 10 this week to #13.
Well I'm glad they bested the Big To Do by the Truckers 'cause that one's dreadful. Have you heard Go Go Boots yet tous? Much improved.....less noise and more space.
