Thanks for the heads up tous. Buckheart, I assume we'll see you back at Red Square on 6/5! tous, if you guys want to swing up for that one, you're welcome to stay with us.
Thank you so much for the help. Would you like me to send you posters so you can put them up around Albany. My email is shaneaspaulding@hotmail.com SEnd me your address and I will get the posters out to you right away.
I'm going to try to make it to as many NC dates as possible in July. Hickory, Winston-Salem, Raleigh for sure. Maybe Charlotte. I hate to miss the Asheville date with Big Daddy Love, but NRPS is here in town that night.
I have friends in almost every state the boys are playing in. I already told them about the gigs. I doubt they will show up but I did my part. Speaking of Omaha? The Counting Crows have a song Called Omaha. They also have a song called Sullivan Street. Yarn is playing Sullivan Hall in NYC which is located on Sullivan Street then they head out to Omaha. Pretty cool huh?
Ocean Mist is definitely a summertime bar. Literally right on the water. We were there in a snowstorm and they traveled like 10 hours to do a 5 hour drive. Still rocked the house though. That's why they're invited back, I imagine.
Hopped... my show is on going to be around 5 o'clock before the Morganton show, I had hoped it would be after, but I guess it wouldn't have started until after midnight. I will give you the details as they come in, I encourage you to come tape and drink. I was in touch with their management team this week. Can't wait to have Yarn @ my house. I will also be doing the Morganton and Charlotte shows, not sure about the Rooster, my son's birthday is that day, but I think I am going to the Pour House in July.
Oh that might be better.... I didn't even think of that.... I guess I could ask and see, I just figured the day they were in Morganton would be easier.
You would drive through Hickory going from Morganton to Charlotte anyway. And with Hickory being 20 minutes from Morganton and an hour from Charlotte, it's nothing for road warriors. That's like a local gig. If you want people to show up, Saturday is your better choice. Are they staying with you Friday night?
Well that is what I was thinking after you mentioned it... I just figured since Morganton was close Friday would be the day or afterwards, but I didn't realize they were playing until 10 on Friday. They could definitely stay on Friday here and then play Saturday afternoon, it would be a lot less rushed as well, They probably don't have to be in Charlotte until later anyway. I sent a message to the management team seeing if i could change the day. Makes more sense... I will keep you posted.
Cool to see that they're gonna play the Wormtown festival. I'll def have to forward some promo stuff to Derek and see if we can get 'em into the Friday closer spot!
Bummer is that it's looking like us New England folks are gonna be getting less shows up this way. Can't blame the band for going where the water tastes like wine. We've had our chances here. Can't believe the Van Dyke wasn't packed on Saturday.....bunch of losers we are up North~
Whitewater Center, Morganton TGIF, Roaring Gap. June 28-30. Would make a nice run for some of you yanks.
Bring the family. The first two shows are outdoors. The Whitewater Center has kayaking, rafting, zip lines, climbing wall, craft beer, MTB trails. Roaring Gap is near Stone Mountain State Park, one of the gems of our state park system. Great hiking, fishing, and climbing (if you're into slab)
Of course we have Yarn shows this weekend and two weeks from now to look forward to as well.
Nope. 4/6 is the Blind Tiger in Greensboro. Local show for hopped and myself. The club is in a different location but it was the first place I ever saw Yarn back in April 2010.
