tous, may I assume you collected the tour songs for that awesome Tour Songs CD set you gave me? It's ridiculously cool and I was wondering how far it had spread. I'm certainly willing to send it around but is it posted at archive or anything? It should be if it isn't.
Thanks. I made a few copies for the people that were crazy enough to drive hours out to Newton, NJ to see a show that will go down in Yarn lore!
I could post to archive, but not sure if Blake would ok that, Anybody else interested in it, just let me know. Private e-mails to bobtous@gmail.com.
If it's not clear, this is a double-disc of Episodes 1 - 17 of the Yarn Tour Songs blog along with bonus cuts of a radio performance/interview from 2008 (I believe).
thanks thanks thanks! goes out to Tous for the amazing hook up! i was pleasantly surprised when i came home from the weekend trip to orAgone and bam....nice little package there for me!
Reckless, I never heard "Something about you" either. I actually bought the latest Kane Wel and Kaplan album and got into my old O'Kane's albums again after listening to that one. Thanks to Mr. Christiana for turning me on to that!!
This summer I dropped and broke the screen on my beloved 80gb Ipod Classic. Had it for 5 1/2 years....very sad. After getting it back from the repair shop this week, I loaded this Tour Songs comp into it and went for a long motorcycle ride last night. Holy smokes. If any of you newer members don't have this, you really want it.
I still say the 6/25/11 Dirt Road is just insane. Loved it when it was a bit slower. And if you haven't heard the version The Andrew Hendryx Band did, I really enjoyed that one too!
Last night, I started assembling a GD comp from all the bands I've recorded the last three years. Amazing how many bands cover their music. This one will include Yarn, Cracker, Dangermuffin, Infamous Stringdusters, NRPS, Blake solo, Big Daddy Love, The Reckoning, Great American Taxi, Amelia's Mechanics, Roy Jay Band, Grant Farm, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, et al.
Yup. I already ripped it, so I'll probably just pass on the discs you sent me. I will type up a text file for folks that want to tag the files if they convert them to flac or mp3. I know badlab likes his songs tagged.
