Thanks for posting balvenie, Just gave a listen.

Great stuff. I've heard all the track live except "Time Burns On" which is just ANOTHER great addition to the already great repertoire. It sounds great !! and it's cool to hear the different take with the studio versions of all the ones I already know by heart. It's kind of bitter-sweet, this third recording HAS to put these guys over the top which is great BUT now I'll have to pay at least 50 bucks to sit hundreds of feet away in a big venue and they'll only come around once a year !!

Blake, you will never actually have a "Final Bow" !!

Oh well, gotta go to as many east coast shows in the next three month as possible. Maybe I'll quit my job, buy a volkswagon microbus and follow them around until June but without a job I won't be able to afford the tickets next year unless I sell tie dyes and/or mushrooms- what a connundrum !!

ITA 110% with everything you all said. the first 2 Yarn albums are great but this one is by far there best album. like a fine wine Yarn gets better with each album.

What's the take on the more mellow recordings vs. the live rip-em-up? Obviously a conscious effort to smooth things out with the fiddle, pedal steel, etc. This has more of the Tour Songs vibe than the typical live show. It's a very strong line-up of songs though!

I still miss Andrews electric mandolin on NYC Found, though.

Maybe I'm just mad that Misery didn't make the cut!

Regarding the track list, I think everyone will have a couple/few they'd turn out for others. I think the good side of say, Schenectady is that it's more rock & roll and may help to get Yarn out of the straight country genre in which they sometimes get mistakenly placed.
