Hello Northeast Yarn family Look forward to seeing some of you folks this weekend The old crystal ball says they probably won't be up this way again until July See you out on the road...safe travels
Alright think I’m gonna make the trip solo. Been. Seeing yarn since 2009 and know they worth the drive. Anyone know a cheap place to stay near the venue? Looks like Bennington VT the closest
It was fantastic to see a sold out Roy’s Hall show and a lively Unihog gathering this weekend. Great hanging as always Bob, thanks for everything you do. jgoods, I still think we’ve yet to formally meet! I captured audio both nights, I’ll try to get to to them sooner than later…
I am so glad DJ Easy Wind & cd2go got to witness and be a part of this leg of the tour It was, for lack of a better word incredible I have been on many a "tour"and seen many shows This experience was truly different 5 shows in 4 days It was emotional and moving in so many ways, and in all honesty probably the best stretch I have ever spent with these gentlemen With the addition of keys (temporarily) it changes the feel and heartbeat of every song Damian Calcagne is an incredibly talented musician and has proven to be a great and positive influence on this band Joey Recchio (temporarily) on lead guitar and background vocals knocked it out of the park They are in a great place right now and there is a lot to be excited for in the coming months...seriously The current catalog includes many new tunes Blake's is writing new music like never before As a longtime fan and admirer of his music, I think the new stuff is some of his best work AND it just keeps on coming The make up of the band this weekend produced an inferno!!! I cannot wait to hear it again and hope that the rest of you enjoy it as much DJ Easy & cd2go captured the Blairstown show and cd2go grabbed Hoosick Falls Don't know what the band make up will be when they return to these parts in the summer What I do know is it will not disappoint even the most die hard fans I really am on cloud nine
Hi All. Its been a while since Ive posted and after witnessing Friday's Roy’s Hall show, I needed to reactivate my 5Guitar's involvement.
To say the show was amazing does not illustrate the excitement in the room. From wall to wall, there was energy. The keys (Damian Calcagne) and guitar (Joey Recchio) allowed songs to explore new avenues.
If recordings exist, I cannot wait to get a second listen. Get to a show! Bring your friends and your friends friends!
Damian always brings up the level. Having spoken to him, he is as enthusiastic about this Tour as you are Bob! And one thing must be said. Even above Dam's unreal Hammond B3 and Keys chops, and his dynamic Production abilities, he is one sweet Soul!
Caught Blake and Joey acoustic Friday night at a small joint in Salisbury, NC. Was a great show. I've been seeing Joey with BDL since 2010 or so. He is pretty damn good.
Going to see Yarn with Brock from P-Groove on the 15th right here in Greensboro, NC. I'm pretty much out of the taping game, but Greensboro's most prolific taper is a huge P-Groove fan so the show will probably be up on archive right after. The venue also does a multitrack recording of every show and video.
Hey hoppedup, good to hear from you. I will second that vote for Joey being pretty damn good. I like what the band is doing with "rotating" guitarists. Truth be told many of these folks have reached out to the band saying how much they would love to play with them Pretty nice position to be in and says a lot about Yarn in general Hope you are doing well also. Might I catch you at Rooster Walk?
