It was wonderful to see everyone and what a unique opportunity to have these two together. Sadly the bar was ridiculously chatty with the vast majority of TGIFers drinking and talking. There was nearly a cacophony of noise the entire night. I went and stood 10ft from Blake and it was still annoyingly loud. I talked with the owner earlier and he said that they're going to book Yarn for early October on their outdoor stage. That would be cool but count me out of an indoor Friday gig at that place. The sound was also mediocre in the first place.
Blake started out with a few new songs. As always, it's great to always hear something new when I see Blake. After a cool version of Sioux City Gypsy, Trevor joined Blake and they did a terrific run through of the early staples. Hopped was running gear but has guarded expectations for the results though he always does a great job. I look forward to seeing/hearing it in the future.
Blake also told me that they're planning to do a show at Capt Scott's again this August so of course, count us in for lobster and Yarn. It's so nice to be working out from under this damn Covid cloud~
There were a handful of the Yarn family in Hoosick Falls,NY and that was cool. Hopped, Reckless it has been far too long and was great to see you both. We were treated to an incredible evening and really got to appreciate once again what Trevor always brings when he is on stage with Yarn. Blake & Trevor did a version of “Oncoming Train” that I can only hope has a successful recording coming.Having he and Blake in that setting was a special opportunity. Totally agree with Reckless on all the rest. I really tried to tune out the noise but it really was impossible. With that said if you want to mark your calendars, Oct.2 is the date. Hoping for good results from hopped. It is wonderful to be back out and around.

Holy crap, that came out way better than I could have imagined. We were watching videos I shot and it was horrific, very hard to listen to. Thanks hopped for working some magic.
Great to see you, RC. Let's not make it 11 years until the next time!
Bob, that mic pointed away from the bar was the only hope I had of getting something listenable. I usually have enough gear to run stage mics, room mics, and get a board feed. I was traveling light this time.
I just wanted to say thank you Hoppedup !! We have never met, but I bet we've been at several of the same shows. So , Thank you , Thank you , Thank you !! It sounded like a noisy Happy Hour crowd ,but you made their music SHINE the Light On through !! Some great classics!!
