Hello Yarn fans and fellow isolationists. Looking back to "the good old days" when was your last Yarn show?
We all hope the next one will be sometime soon.
Informal survey when will you personally feel comfortable in attending your next Yarn show? (or any show for that matter?

Last Show: March 12, 2020 Greeley, Co hours before the shit really started to hit the fan

Next Show: I think (as of now) I would be comfortable with late June early July

Hello out there in Quarantine Land,

Thank you for keeping this forum open us! I am very grateful for the music and the people this band has brought together along the way.

Last Show: Our last show was on February 6th, @ FTC in Fairfield CT. 3 LONG months ago. Another great show by the boys, 21 song night! They played a couple Rickey Nelson tunes that night! It was a night filled with favorites! They JAMMMMED!

Next Show: Our group of 10-15 Music Loving Junkies will be making a road trip from CT to PA for the 118 North show on June 19th. If The Powers to Be allow the gathering. We will raise the roof that night! We also have tickets to the re-scheduled Bob/YARN Birthday Boat Bash in NYC in August ( Fingers Crossed )

I would just like to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have been affected by this terrible virus. To all the friends and loved ones we've lost. Lets continue to work together, so we can BE together.

    Peace,D2

Hey DSquared, thanks for your comment. Totally agree we must work together, as we are all in this together.
It seems that while there are some bright spots along the way, as far as gathering, its just not going to happen anytime soon.
That next Yarn show is going to be one hell of a coming out party.
As the Governor of NJ says "Don't be a knucklehead". Stay well, be safe.

Hey Bob, D2 & all my fellow Yarn friends. Right now, I'm listening to Tim from NJ's recording of the last show I attended, Yarn @ Roy's Hall in Blairstown 2/21/20. It's a great sonic recording of a graet night of music! Go Bless The Tapers, I always say, cuz due to famly obligations, I was only able to catch the 2nd set live. My favorite band in my favorite place to see them!

I don't want to be a downer, but Im not overly optimistic about any mid-Summer shows. I AM keeping my fingers crossed for 'Summer's End' , my August 28th iBoat Cruise to happen. As I've said to a number of people, if we can't have social gatherings by late August, we will have more to worry about than a Boat Cruise! Should the "powers that be", as D2 puts it, prevent us from gathering on 8/28, I am willing to try again in the Fall, but I don't wanna go there right now..Letl's keep our eyes on the prize!

Hello DJEasy Wind, thank you for taking the time and joining the discussion.
You are not a downer, you are a realist, you take notice of the information we are given and logically sort it out.
As each day and every news cycle passes I am more confused as to where this "event" is going and what it's going to lead to.
Some of our mutual friends that are way more involved in the music business than we are, provide little optimism on that front.
I truly hope we can enjoy a social (no distancing) gathering on August 28th. Hopefully the "powers that be" will provide us with that opportunity.
The eye is on the prize to be sure, one we can and will enjoy together.

Thought it would be interesting (maybe not) to revisit this, 6 months later.
What was on my mind when I thought I would feel comfortable going to a show late June early July.
DJ Easy Wind, hoping there would be a delayed celebration on August 28th
It is incredible, and no end in sight.
So now I am somewhat hopeful that by the beginning of May 2021 I would be comfortable seeing Yarn in an intimate setting
I am also fully aware that might be a stretch. Just looking for even a dim light at the end of the tunnel.
Continue the vigilance and stay safe 5Ger's.
